I voted Williams because Hart made him look like Roberto Carlos. Not sure the other young lad is ready 'to start' either but would like to see someone brought through that might be able to challenge Williams. Definitely a weak spot in our team.

Williams for me is our first choice lb - No question. Gets a lot of stick on here but looks ok every time i have seen him (15+).

Not sure about Whittingham/Evans. Thought Evans/Smallwood looked great with Bennett/Conway but perhaps whittingham is more suitable if Conway is injured.

Antonsson must start for me. Sure he is lightweight but gets in good positions and has scored a few.

Would like to see Witts get more involved. Very quiet Murphy-esque start to his tenure at Rovers, can't see him as an impact sub so surely start him till about 50-70 then bring on an impact sub?

I find this lazy comparison slightly grating. What is comparable to Murphys start? The fact they both play center midfield?

Both aged, both centre mids, both set piece specialists, both not overly quick but seen as good playmakers. Both haven't played well in Rovers colours (so far), a quite an easy comparison.

The reasons why people disliked Murphy have no similarities to Whittingham. His attitude, his missus slagging Rovers fans on Twitter, the fact he signed for Coco , the other dodgy signings that were going on at the time. Murphy was also 2-3 years older.

I don't get the lazy comparison between the 2 at all, but maybe that is just me

Whittingham has hardly come and stamped any authority on why he should be in the starting line up as he? He doesn't look as if he wants to really stake a claim based on his performances to date and he clearly isn't chomping at the bit in training either. Perhaps not lazy but stealing a living perhaps?!

That's his style of play. I think people have too high expectations on him. i believe he will grow into a role in the team.

How do you know what he is or isn't chomping at in training? He was being kept out of the side by Evans, who would arguably make any other team in the division.

I would guess if he was 'straining at the leash' in training it would be extremely difficult to leave him out at the expense of 'sick note strain' Evans.

The potential of our squad should walk this league but for me they're not honed, fit, motivated or organised. It may just be me but we're a country mile from good enough and it irks.

That said, I'll be there Saturday cheering the buggers on.

I don't think he is a chomping at the bit/straining on the leash type of guy! Hopefully his legs aren't gone.

I just don't like people comparing him to that waste of space Murphy. I want to forget about that dark period

First names on the BRFCS teamsheet...

Raya, Mulgrew, Downing, Smallwood, Samuel.

Who would have guessed those 5 at the start of the season? As a side note... they say a strong spine makes a team...

RS has come a long way, if we look at the likes of Gladwin who's been completely frozen out its a testament to how well Smallwood's played
