Mercer Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Firstly, it's horrendous for the lad - it's a really bad injury to have at such a young age. Can only wish him well in his recovery. Secondly, it's a hammer blow for Rovers' prospects. Take no satisfaction from being proven right in what I posted about Chapman's injury on Thursday in the other Chapman thread. Mowbray talking about a 3 month absence is, IMV, optimistic - you can add at least another month on to that.
alcd Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 As Mowbray was ultra-cautious in his use of Chapman before this injury, we can assume he won't be used in any meaningful way again this season. Seen the last of Chapman at Ewood.
G Somerset Rover Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Chuck the kid on cold then what do you expect. Seems like our ‘dumbing down’ has extended to our medical team. Boro must be livid.
bob fleming Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 When routine bites hard... Excuse me while I nip off to play The Idiot. I won't be long...
Lihamylly Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Tremendeous blow for Harry and the club. Harry was the other one I had high hopes for and who seemed to be able to dominate in this level. The other one is the other one Tony doesn't seem to trust for starting place. Thanks for everything Harry and sorry on club's behalf for not giving you the role and responsibility you deserved. I hope this injury won't ruin your career and I'm sure you get another, better chance in some other club in years to come.
