mattjansen Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Hi all! Not been on for months due to work and other issues. Currently planning a trip to the uk after three years off, long time so now its the time. Bringing the kids this time so a house or a cottage would be ideal for about a week would be great. Anyone with tips? Thanks

Paul Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I would look at Airbnb. We use it a lot and with careful research it works well. The only time we’ve been disappointed was in London when it was a total rip off - I wasn’t surprised by this.
J*B Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Agreed Airbnb is the best way to hire somewhere to stay in the UK now. Hotels are scandalous.
only2garners Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Be very careful if you want to use Airbnb in London - there are lot of scams and illegal lets down there. I'm sure there are plenty of legitimate ones as well but it's being able to tell them apart from the dodgy ones that's tricky.
