I was speaking to an ex refereeing colleague at Ewood on Saturday and he has had an on going issue with the FA and getting nowhere. He told me about the football ombudsmen who he turned to for help and are taking his case up this week at the FA. Neither he or I were aware of this organisation previously but checking their website it appears they have some clout and the list of their successful cases is impressive particularly when some of the people are fobbed off by clubs and associations.
