I thought he'd have brought something more to the team than what he has. Maybe he's got potential, but he needs some serious mentoring at his own club, rather than here. Tomlinson is clearly the better option for Rovers, simply because he's better.

Harper had some good appraisals before coming on loan here. I wonder if he's been allowed to get ahead of himself?

Don't know, maybe so mate.I was critical of his signing at the time as I felt it would prevent the likes of Tomlinson getting a chance in the squad. But maybe he was only signed because of Tomlinson having some personal issues to sort out so il give Mowbray the benefit of the doubt. If everyone fit,Harper shouldn't be in the 18 so I'd be looking to send him back in January. Travis on for Harper

philipl Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Cannot see Harper lasting much longer. Either the ref or Mowbray is going to hoik him off.

Guest Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Precarious at 1-0. Crewe hit the post earlier and are pressing for the equaliser.
islander200 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Get a second and kill it off Rovers.Don't concede a sloppy equaliser,we really don't want extra time
Guest Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Only just realised that former Rovers academy player, Eddie Nolan, is playing for Crewe tonight. Apparently determined to score for us.
Guest Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Good stuff. Through to the next round unscathed.
blueboy3333 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Good win, pretty comfortable according to the LT live. Crowd is 2,241 with 669 from Rovers
West Yorks Rover Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Nice to win again, but we didn't seem to have our shooting boots on tonight 17 efforts only 3 on target and 12 corners too, let's hope for better on Saturday, I think we'll need more than one to beat Charlton. Attendance 2241 (669 away)

blueboy3333 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Seems to have really caught the imagination this one.

Excellent. With Evans being injury prone/poor and Whittingham at the wrong end of his career we’ve needed another central midfield option. Even better if he’s a product of our own academy.

Energy and running power in central midfield is what we've been short of for a while. Smallwood has been expected to carry most of the load on his own.

Oldgregg86 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Never want to see Harper play in a blue and white shirt again. Terrible performance. Absolutely no positional sense what so ever. Never tracked his runner , never showed for the ball , never put a tackle in and looked lazy and disinterested. On the positive side Tomlinson had another good game and Travis should really be pushing for a start. I would start him against Charlton if the decision was mine. Graham played well and took his goal well and was unlucky with a thunderous effort that hit the bar. We're through, bring on the tigers
