blueboy3333 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Tough one to call this. In their last 6 home games Posh have beaten Shrewsbury, Wigan and Pompey but lost to Gillingham, Oxford and Blackpool. Maybe they only turn it on for the 'bigger' games. Obviously got some decent players (Maddison is one that has been talked about as being destined for bigger things). Could be a tough game. 1-1

The addition of guess the team/tactics is welcome, but a score prediction and quick reason was always the intention of the match day thread. Makes for interesting reading. roversfan99 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Graham was integral to the last league win, and scored himself v Crewe. Maybe harsh on Samuel but i'd play Graham. Done nothing to be dropped.

Glad to see you've joined in, can't argue with any of that, even though I went for 3-1 Rovers, I'd take 1-1. Edited December 9, 2017 by Gav

Evans is the lesser of two evils. That's the problem, if you could roll the two of them together into one you might have a decent player but neither of them has earned the shirt this season. We are were we are and I'd pick Evans. Score -2-2. Edited December 9, 2017 by Tyrone Shoelaces
Boaty Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 2-0 or 3-0. The way we have been playing recently we should be able to win every game until the end of the season.
Mark45 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Not changing winning team from Blackpool FC, 2-4 games. Tony has built confidence with players, hope for 2-0 winning.
Roverthechimp Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 2-0 loss purely because it has been going too well lately plus i'll be watching

chaddyrovers Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 TEAM NEWS | #Rovers make two changes from the last league game Raya Nyambe Downing Mulgrew Williams Smallwood Whittingham CONWAY Dack Antonsson SAMUEL
Bigdoggsteel Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I'm not sure about Conway starting after being out for so long, but I suppose options are limited. Hopefully we sneak a win,but I would definitely take a draw as being a good result.
blueboy3333 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) Rovers subs today: Jayson Leutwiler, Paul Caddis, Elliott Ward, Willem Tomlinson, Corry Evans, Danny Graham, Joe Nuttall Good to see Tomlinson on the bench, even if it's only because Harper is suspended. I'd have gone with Evans for Whittingham but to be honest it won't make a lot of difference either way. Somehow I feel our weak links may let us down today but I'll still go for a score draw.

blueboy3333 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 From the LT:- Big test for the Rovers full-backs today against Edwards and Maddison. I'm officially worried if they have good wingers 2
Oldgregg86 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I'd swap caddis' n nyambe but apart from that. Decent. Good to see Willem get on the bench. Onwards we march
JacknOry Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 This could be a cracking match judging by how many goals they have scored and how we normally set up to play away from home. 2-4 to us.

Backroom DE. Posted December 9, 2017 Backroom Posted December 9, 2017 I think this could be where our winning run comes to an end. Would take a point.
blueboy3333 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 This chap plays for them. Wondered what happened to him. Charlie might get a hattrick from the spot today:-

With Conway not being a flying winger I always feel Mowbray likes to start him to tuck in down that side which again suggests we might sit off from the start but like you say no real options now. Probably rather start like that than play a striker on the right as well I suppose, young quick winger desperately needed in Jan. 1

Hanks Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 3-1 to the Rovers, Dack, Samuel and Mulgrew. Normally I would be a bit hesitant due to the MOTM award but after Captain Mowbray came in at Wetherby at 9-2 I am a bit more confident. Great ride by Tony Kelly 1
