Well, it might happen and it might not. By definition a "happy clapper" such as yourself is likely to assume it will!

The objective truth is that we haven't done as well as we should have, given our resources, and we could feel find ourselves in the lottery that is the play-offs at the end of the season.

You might then argue we are the best team in the playoffs but it means nothing till we prove it.

We're about to reach to half-way point in the season.  We are averaging two points a game and are within three points of the play-offs.  The object of the exercise is to be in the top two come May - not December.   As I pointed out Bolton were in just the same position last season but didn't panic and the manager rewarded them with automatic promotion.  The fact that we've been in and out in terms of performances during games and yet are still averaging two points a game is surely a very positive sign.  If we sacked Mowbray, as one person suggested, it could easily go the other way and we end up slipping down the League.  There are no guarantees in football no matter what your resources.

A certain lack of logic here Parsons! We are THIRD! Therefore 2 other clubs have averaged more points per game than we have. That doesn't mean we won't go up automatically, its simply that those 2 are statistically more likely to finish 1st/2nd than we are.

Still no reason to suggest sacking the manager though as some have.

The season is only half way through , remember 1980 we were 10th and drew at home to Mansfield on Boxing Day ....

The manager worries me too , but we are in a good position ...

I have not called for the manager to be sacked at any point. We should be in a better position though than Shrewsbury.

At 5 o clock we may well be.

Burnley fc fan? or drunk?

Whilst he's redeemed himself somewhat ATM it's clear to me he's not the right man next year.

Mowbray has thrown plenty of points away already this season and I wouldn't bet against him doing the same in the second half of the season.

2 already... how many more?
