Anybody missing connor mahoney?

Nope. If he had stayed here he would have been playing regular here. Instead he played under 23 football at Bournemouth. Should have listened to Mowbray.

I don't think theres any chance we will sign Chapman before this window comes to an end, be interesting to see what happens at the end of the season but I think he will end up staying at Boro.

Out of contract this summer. Very unlikely that Pulis would play him.

Should have signed there in the summer.

Sorry Josh. I probably glanced at the article with it being you know who, that sold him. I knew it was an injury that had an impact on his fee.

No need for sorrys! Its pretty sad really, his shoulder is going to give him a serious amount of pain for the reminder of his life. Although the 85k a week is probably worth it.

He played for Burnley, that surpasses any physical pain he will ever have.

If his hamstring goes again we'll have a twenty year old Craig Conway on our hands. Take away a yard off his pace and what have you got ?

Funny enough, I was thinking exactly that! But take away his pace, I reckon you've got a left-footed version of what Conway was when we first bought him rather than now.

Ie: I'd still risk it.

Did Conway ever have pace? I can’t recall.

Dont get me wrong, he’s certainly slowed up but I always felt his quality came from being gritty, hardworking and having a decent final ball/shot.

Chapman is/was like the proverbial; “sh** off a shovel”!

What I meant was Chapman without pace = prime Conway :)

Wouldnt have been regular here. By the last game of the season he wasnt in our squad.

That was before Chapman, Antonsson, Payne and Armstrong joined.

Buying Chapman now could be a shrewd move. Being injured and out of contract in the summer Rovers might have chance to secure a player they might not have if he had played the full season and created interest among other clubs. Might get a decent price too. I can't imagine he is Pulis type of player either.

Not too worry about his hamstring, still young and players like Josh King does his hamstring at least once a year.

Otzumer.

Only seen the goal clips so hard to say. I suppose it depends on who we sign and who goes back to their parents clubs. He looks good from the very little I've seen but i can't make a judgement on a player I've only seen on the channel 5 reel on a Saturday night

We dont know if the 4 players you mention would have been signed if Mahoney stays.

What we do you know is he spent half a season wasting his talent in Bournemouth under 23's. What a waste

But he could be set up for life financially.....and he’s only young. He will find his level

I just think players of that age should be thinking more of playing games and 1st team football than money.

I did say in the summer he should have gone Barnsley

I was just thinking maybe Rovers are trying to tie up a deal now for Chapman while he is injured because they think they can get him cheaper rather than wait til his contract expires and have to pay Boro compensation
