Rovers were a specialist subject on Celebrity Mastermind last night, former Lib Dem leader Tim Farron answering the questions - and getting them all right!

They were from the years 1990-2000, which made it a little easier - if you didn't see it, catch up on the BBC I player.

He did well, and on his general knowledge round too. Got a few nuggets in about winning the Prem when he got his trophy. I wonder what it would be like to have a Rovers fan as the PM??

I don't think even Tim Farron believes he will be PM.

I saw him on the train back from the Crewe cup replay. I'd like to think that he had been at the game but it was the same day that the Government lost the vote on Brexit before Christmas so I'm sure he was on his way home from London.

I know I could have answered those questions but not 13 in two minutes! Suspect I’d have got the Fazakerley one wrong.

Really good showing by Tim Farron.

Has anyone ever seen him at Rovers? The guy is a complete pillock, as much of a Rovers supporter as Cameron was Villa. Anyone, Rovers fan or not, could have got those questions right with a few days of revising.

I’ve never seen Tim Farron at Rovers but then there are probably 25,000 other people I’ve never seen at Rovers!!

Tim’s wife was a member of BRFCS for many years.

Gallagher goes to the Rovers, everyone knows he's been, Derbyshire goes to the Rovers, everyone knows he's been, Tim Farron goes to the Rovers, no one knows he's been... strange that, does he wear a disguise? Camouflage?

He was immediately behind me in the collection queue on Boxing Day. So he was definitely there that day.

I saw him in the queue for ticket collections before the Rochdale game on Boxing Day

You are the first Rovers fan I have ever heard that has seen him at a game... I stand corrected. He's still been absolutely clueless on the goings on at Rovers every time I've heard him questioned on it.

I think the average fan who doesn’t use boards of this sort might not have the full story anyway.

I have seen him and his family sitting in the Riverside slightly towards the Darwen End in about Row 13. I think he is a reasonable fellow, not a pillock. Don't agree with his politics, though.

He did very well with his answers. I got most but didn't know we finished 6 points behind United in 1994 and didn't know the Fazackerley one.

I've met him, a genuinely nice guy. I don't mind his politics but despise his religious leanings

and you'd certainly know a pillock RV......

Tim Farron has been going to Ewood for years, I've seen him many times with his wife, they used to post on here before the numptys arrived.

Ive never seen you at Ewood? and with the nonsense you spout I doubt you've ever been to be honest but we digress.

Great to see Tim keeping the Blue and White flag flying high, good effort.

Well I didn’t know Gallagher, other than for work, or Derbyshire go to Ewood. Thanks for the tip. It will help me avoid looking daft if I suggest they never go to Rovers.

He's kept the blue flag flying high has he? Where? He's been one of the most publicly prominent Rovers fans in the last 5 years or so and I haven't heard a peep, w@nker.

Fallon the former defence secretary? That's a new one to me, interesting. Your post is hilariously ironic.

I'd have thought this board would be Farron fans, seeing as you chased anyone with a different political leaning off the board a few years ago.

If Farron is a Rovers fan (which he isn't) it makes it even worse that he's been so quiet on our plight, given his prominence.
