That is a team, can't wait for Dacky to be back ? If we can keep everyone fit/Covid free, and Mowbray completely changes his ethos and vastly improves his managerial capability, we may have a shot at the play-offs. Quote

DavidMailsTightPerm Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 (edited) You have to laugh - all the different formations to accommodate Dack - and TM is accused of being the tinkerman ? How (and if) we accommodate Dack into the first team is likely to have a significant impact on the season. One thing is certain - having him as an option on the bench when after a goal is better than anything we currently have. Edited November 10, 2020 by DavidMailsTightPerm Quote

If you don't the opposition can easily isolate them and get them an early card. Then you have problems. 2 Quote

Liverpool played with Henderson and Wijnaldum in midfield against City - with Jota, Firmino, Salah and Mane in front of them. I'm not saying we have the same standard of players as those 6, but at the same time, we're not up against Man City. Quote
roversfan99 Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Exactly, Liverpool had both Wijnaldum and Henderson, both of whom are very responsible and selfless players. Rothwell cant play in a central 2. Quote

Rothwell cant play in a central 2. I wouldn't exactly call Wijnaldum a tackler though. According to the Premier League website: Played 187 Tackles 205 Tackle success 67% Compared to Rothwell last season Starts 13 (+ 20 sub appearances) (1747 minutes on the pitch) Tackles 37 Tackle success 76% So Rothwell actually attempts and wins more tackles than Wijnaldum. Liverpool's possession is generally gained through pressing and forcing a mistake. I'm not sure a tackling stat is a good one in their case. Quote
roversfan99 Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Rovers have been silent on Dacks first week back in full training apart from a 5 second video of him kicking a ball into an empty net on Monday. Wonder if everything has gone to plan? Quote

Saw that this morning but it seems that all information and interviews through the international break where gathered prior and just staggered out to fill articles. I hope that as you say he has had no setbacks and he can play a game this week. 1 Quote

Reducing the amount of people onsite, bit of a break in the players being in. Just a hypothesis though. 1 Quote

Ossydave Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 He got clattered a few times, didn't look a very friendly friendly! Seemed to be walking freely at the end of the game though and good to see some of his team mates there on the sidelines in support ? 6 Quote
