Crashed 14 times during one game. I got a message warning me the app was damaging my battery. So bad. I have a brand new galaxy note, so I don't think it was the hardware, nor software on the phone. Very amateur for former Premier league winners to be honest. The Wigan site is far more streamlined looking. The Rovers one is cluttered as hell. Still,I would take our league position over theirs! That's why people get frustrated - you evade answering questions you dont like the answer to. Yes or no has TM done a good job in the transfer market? Yes or no has he assembled a good squad? Simple questions and everything you say suggests he has done a bad job but won't admit it for some reason. chaddy has left the chat. Quote

Reedy You're A Star Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 To me it looks like, we're short of cover at CB and LB, but we've pissed all our money on 2 misfiring strikers. So, instead of scouting and trying to find a good CB and a good LB within our budget, we just said, fuck it,bring charlie back. If we have a couple of injuries in defense he can fill in. 1 Quote
DeeCee Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Sad to say but Charlie's finished at this level. Been a great player but we need to move forwards, not backwards. Quote

philipl Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Mulgrew can still do a job at this level. With Evans, Dack and Cunningham all out long term good to have Charlie back at Ewood. 3 Quote

Been a great player but we need to move forwards, not backwards. Agree that we can't go forward planning to have him in the XI, but I wouldn't go as far as finished. Wigan's fans look pretty united in saying they looked more solid with him in the side, stats seem to provisionally back it up. Clearly his ability on the ball & set piece specialism is still there. Compare that to the likes of Gordon Greer, who was definitely finished when he came for his second spell. Charlie's biggest problem is his contract and his pedigree. If he was willing to be a squaddie and not be one of our top earners, I'd have no problem whatsoever in having him as a part of the squad. 1 Quote

chaddyrovers Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Mulgrew having a massive dig at Mowbray here Quote

Feels like he's throwing his toys out of the pram a little bit here. Not like Mowbray is the one controlling the club Twitter account? 4 Quote
Backroom Mike E Posted August 29, 2020 Backroom Posted August 29, 2020 (edited) Sorry Charlie but as great as you were (one of my favourites of the last decade), 'were' is now 2 seasons ago. Edited August 29, 2020 by Mike E 6 Quote

Mattyblue Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 I’m assuming it’ll be the same tweet for the SFA when he’s left out of the next Scotland squad? 5 Quote
Admiral Nelsen Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Whilst I don't blame Mulgrew for feeling frustrated, this is ultimately just evidence of Mowbray doing his job. The weird thing is why he came back from Wigan last year when he could have carried on playing at this level. Quote
tomphil Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 He'll be after either playing or getting a pay off so he can go where he wants. He's probably in limbo with it all like the club now is but at the heart of it he's thinking of himself so the loyalty line is a bit thin. 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 (edited) And if a PL club had come straight in for him the morning after that header he’d have jettisoned us quicker than you could’ve said ‘loyalty bonus’... that’s the game. Edited August 29, 2020 by Mattyblue 7 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Sounds like Mulgrew has throw his toys out of his pram. He isn't good enough to be part of squad now. His nightmare against Boro at Ewood Park ended his career here. Thanks for memories Charlie like His 2 goals against Newcastle and the winner that took us up back to the championship 3 Quote
Popular Post Ewood Ace Posted August 29, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 29, 2020 The loyalty was the 2 year extension on a good wage, which he didn't warrant. Where was Mulgrew's loyalty when he ran his contract down at Aberdeen to sign for Celtic on a free. There wasn't any because by signing for Celtic he progressed his career and it is the same now for Rovers for us to progress we need to move on from Charlie Mulgrew. 17 Quote
RTM08 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Stupid comment to make imo. Comes across as entitled when I think he's lucky that his wages or so high we can't shift him - because that's the only reason he's still here. Has been a liability at the back for a couple of years now. Not sure why he thinks he is entitled to any more from us, we took him on when he had reputation for being injury prone, and then rewarded him with a long contract no one else would have given him where he has since lost his legs and rinsed us, even when he was on loan at another local club in the same division. Can guarantee if a Prem team had come calling a couple of seasons ago he wouldn't be preaching the same line 2 Quote
CD_93 Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Very professional. Cheers for everything Charlie. Bye. Quote
