ruggles1995 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Out of interest if we win League one how much prize money do we get? Also what will the increase of income money be if we go back up to the championship?

Backroom Mike E Posted January 19, 2018 Backroom Posted January 19, 2018 Was a decrease of around £5-6m coming down, I think. Assume that will be the gain of going up.
blueboy3333 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Back in 2012 it was a massive £25k. FL money hasn't changed much since. We'd be financially better off going up via the play-offs.

pk1875 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Championship clubs get around £6.5 million solidarity money from the Premier League League One clubs get around £1.25 million solidarity money from the Premier League No idea on prize money though
Doaksie Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Basic award across the EFL: Championship - £2.084m. League 1 - £677,000. League 2 - £472,000.Premier League Solidarity payment across the EFL: Championship - £4.3m League 1 - £645,000. League 2 - £430,000 Seemingly with no extra monetary reward based on position. As blueboy says, (whisper it quietly) the play offs would probably offer a higher financial reward than automatic promotion.

So league 1 clubs get around the same per season as Utd are offering Sanchez per week. FFP lads.

You even get £100k if you win the Checkatrade!

You could very well be right. Mine was merely a quick 2 minute Google over lunch. As the Bigdogg highlights though. Those figures are barely crumbs from the top table. More like a passing smell of the financial football meal.
