Bigdoggsteel Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Sensible not to change a winning team. the new additions means those starting know they need to perform,or they will be the ones on the bench. Great to see such competition.

What a strong bench it is, though. At least if our "business as usual" team doesn't deliver by early in the second half, all of the options are there for us off the bench.
philipl Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Yes after a lot of tinkering early in the season, good to see a settled side. BUT From the way we couldn't break them down when it mattered in Northampton, I would have liked to have seen at least one of the new flyers from Kick-off. Might be too late to be subbing using brand new players at the 60 minute mark. As everyone says, it is a very strong bench and regardless of any reservations should win this. Going for 2-0.
JacknOry Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I like how he has not started some of the new guys. Sending a message to the players on the pitch that if you perform you keep your place - if not we have some players tearing at the bit to show that they can. Not sure how long the likes of Payne and Armstrong will like it though.

West Yorks Rover Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Let's not forget Northampton have won their last 3 league games, so they will be feeling confident, I assume. Still, we should be winning this if we want a top 2 place.
yellowsubmarine Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Looks like a settled first XI and a promising bench. Just wondering where are Whittingham, Evan, Gladwin, Lenihan Antonsson Chapman Ward all gonna fit in if we have a full strength squad.

perthblue02 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Is that savio amongst the supporters doing the team greetings ?
Backroom Tom Posted January 27, 2018 Backroom Posted January 27, 2018 Conway just cost us a goal Airshot on the edge of their box leaving them to break
JacknOry Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 We always concede one - right team, get on it!
Gogger Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Williams just turns his back and runs back to his left side, leaving his man which then scores. Great stuff from Conway...

Backroom Tom Posted January 27, 2018 Backroom Posted January 27, 2018 Mulgrew coming off and no Central defender on bench Bad to worse

G Somerset Rover Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Bugger. Need to dig deep - got to be winning games like this if we want to go up automatically. Mulgrew injured - double bugger! Knew he was doing too well injury wise this season.

benhben Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Mulgrew doesn't look good. Looks like a knee injury. Big blow. Slow start from rovers. Their goal came from our corner.
