Preben Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 It's a funny old game. Well done both teams and fans, that's a point closer

It looked to me that way as well. But as the half wore on, it became even stranger. At one stage, we had bell and Williams near their box, Payne and Dack near ours. these sort of things should hopefully be unseen again.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Great comeback but by Christ what an opportunity missed with Wigan and Shrews losing.

It was only 2 days ago everyone was saying bell is a great signing. I think rather than he is suddenly a terrible signing the strange formations and players out of position is more likely the cause

Roboftherovers82 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 rovers messed up today dnt even matter if shrewsbury/wigan lost they got games in hand no idea why rovers always struggle at home to the lesser teams so to speak tm tactics 1st half where shocking

Not bad but harsh to say he’s miles ahead of Williams but one of them need dropping.

Exiled in Toronto Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Surprised that no-one has mentioned the formation that turned it around in the second half was the much derided 3-5-2. The fight shown in the second half gives me hope for the rest of the season, Bennett especially put in a huge effort. I’m with Jim, a point gained is welcome.

Fans saying "we should be beating teams like this". Oldham showed in the first half they're a decent outfit and exposed our weaknesses. We're a point nearer our rivals. I'm a happy chap.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 10, 2018 Moderation Lead Posted February 10, 2018 Good to ultimately get a draw, but we were hideous until we scored. Should be smashing teams like that out of sight. Not sure why Payne was given man of the match, must need a new watch... The overwhelming positive for me was the performance of Lewis Travis, lad looks so confident and assured for someone his age. Some superb tackles from him as well.
yellowsubmarine Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 to be honest, after today's game, neither bell nor williams gives me confidence at left back. what a performance from travis in the 2nd half.
Guest Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Perspective really messes up the mind. On the one hand, we should really have put that team to the sword, and it's 2 points dropped. On the other hand, we were the only team in the top 4 to not get beat today. A feeling of defeat turns into not such a bad day after all. This League has many twists and turns to come.

What were you hoping for,a draw? I was hoping we'd win of course. But we played very poorly in the first half. The league table means nothing to be honest. Northampton, Oldham and some of the other lower sides have given us our hardest games this season. Point gained and on to the next round of matches.
West Yorks Rover Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Those 2 points dropped may come back to bite us on Tuesday, we've got the toughest game at Pompey, Wigan home to Blackpool, Shrews at Fleetwood who have gone off the boil lately.
Lihamylly Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Well, next round it's our turn to have a tougher game while Shrews and Wigan are having easier ones. Maybe our tactics is to turn the tides when least expected. You can do things two ways. Easy and hard.
