I think he’s a striker shunted out wide like Butty analysed, to be honest he is more or less spot on but I’d add Conway to the list behind a fully fit Antonsson.

I can see us potentially trying two up top sooner or later because we’ve an absolute smorgasbord of attacking luxury but not many ugly old fashioned defenders. A friend of mine who supports WBA loves TM but always said he will always concentrate on that side of the pitch.

That could be the same chap I know who supports Albion and says the same about Mowbray. He was popular at the Hawthorns but his teams gave goals away too easily. He's definitely a flawed manager, don';t know why h'es never found a coach who can help him with that side of the game. .

Nyambe.    Mulgrew.  Williams.  Bell

                        Graham

I'd imagine that will be the team he picks if Mulgrew is fit. Anyone advocating  a return to the formation thst produced one of the worst performances of the season instead of the one used to produce an 18 game unbeaten run needs their bumps feeling. Mowbray would get slaughtered playing 3 central defenders at home to Oldham. It would be 'pathetic'.

Because firstly, weve played 4-2-3-1 for the run of 18 games unbeaten. Your desperation for a change baffles me.

Secondly, its not football manager. You cant suddenly throw up such a difficult formation on the team, even if they trained on it for a week, and expect instant results. Even if the current formation wasnt working, which it is. It would be crazy to do so, on the back of a recent good run of form with a third of the season left, theres no margin for error.

Added to this, your team contains 2 full backs in a 3 man defence, to add to the inevitable wobbles that we'd have whilst adjusting.

And theres no need for that last comment, especially as when Mowbray almost certainly picks a 4-2-3-1, youll say its the correct team picked regardless.

Antonsson has only been out a few weeks, fair enough on Lenihan but the sooner hes back the better.

Baffles you? You picked 2 players not fit yet. Try again.

You keep mentioning Football manager for some reason? I used to play the game but have zero time nowadays. If you play it then fair dos but I dont.

Nyambe and Williams can play as part of 3 man defence and Williams was part of 3 man centre defenders when Bristol City got promote from this league.

I want to play Graham and Armstrong up front and Dack from 10 role. Would give us more attacking power..

So you want a repeat of the Doncaster game ?

Who says it will be tho.

Out of interest why do you believe Travis deserves a start (from his brief appearances) yet Payne who caused Walsall problems and got an assist (to go with his assist in the game before) doesn't deserve a start?

He always looked good when on and his appearances for under 23's as right wing back have been very good.

Yes Payne look good but faded in the second half of the Walsall game

Bit of New Order on in the background 'The perfect Kiss' job done.

They came in 93, I've still got the scar to prove it, but never seen them aside from that.

As for the game itself, Mowbray would have made sweeping changes for Plymouth in hindsight, so I guess it depends how they train this week as to what side he puts out.

Nevertheless, we should beat this lot at home.

Rovers 3 Oldham 1

Remember them in numbers on Branch Road after a game in the 80s. A rum lot to be sure.

Why would you have dropped Downing for a young lad that has not featured in 1 game all season?

I wouldn't. I said I would drop Williams for a specialist U23 centre back at home as I do not rate him one bit at the back.

That IMO, is the best team we can turn out until Lenihan is fit enough to play.

Makes less mistakes than Downing has done recently. IMO should partner Mulgrew until Lenihan is fit.

Fundamentally, I agree. But, they're both left-footed, so that could be asking for trouble in terms of balance....

He can't beat a man, isn't particularly quick, can't play with his back to goal, gets knocked off the ball easily, doesn;'t link up well with the other forwards, can't head the ball and can't tackle. And he takes a hopeless penalty

In short, he shouldn't start any match if other players are available. .

It's Jordan all over again :D

Chaddy David Lowe and Venus couldn't get a three at the back to work so how can you say such and such abody can play in a back three ?

Onto the game should be a comfortable win to erase any thoughts of how Mowbray and his asistants threw the game last week at Plymouth.
