tugayislegend Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 IF (fingers crossed) we get promoted, what areas would we need to strengthen in to stay up in the championship and progress? I dont think we need many additions, but the few we add have to be real quality. Would like to see us spend a good amount on a winger and RB first before strengthening in other areas. Any thoughts guys?

FGS5635 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Sadly most of our budget would probably go on keeping the team we have now. ie signing the likes of chapman, armstrong, payne etc. New deals for a good few of the players to keep who we have Anything thats left then needs to go on a striker to replace/compliment Graham. A top striker can mask a lot of problems in that league and we have some good creative flair behind

philipl Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Agreed it is too soon to be posting this but let's do this. The starting XI v Barnsley in the game which effectively relegated us last April: Steele Nyambe Williams Hoban Wes Brown Guthrie (subbed Graham who wet off and replaced by Gallagher) Bennett Lowe Mahoney Emnes (subbed by Conway) Joao Unused subs: Feeney, Ward, Akpan, Raya I'd far rather have our current squad

Things are positive, we don't need a negative bitching thread which this will inevitably become
FGS5635 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Id say its pretty positive to talk about what happens after promotion. Could argue saying its to soon is the negative part

A second beforehand is a waste of time. A lot depends on who performs well between now and the end of the season. As such, I will now exit the thread stage left
JacknOry Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Keep what we have (except Ward, Evans and possibly Samuel) and work on the defense - simples
