The people who went on the pitch first at Doncaster are entirely responsible for the Spartan-esque scenes we saw at the Battle of Ewood. You made it OK to go on the pitch. Innocents eyes will have seen the and thought 'those fine upstanding citizens have gone on the pitch, it must be acceptable to do the same'.
