Would be nice if they put some of the gate receipts from tomorrows surprise almost full house towards a good stadium clean on the outside this summer !

Theyre only interested in signing crap players from a sports agency to take their cut of the dosh and rarely appear at Ewood whilst feeding the flock with garbage to keep their interest.

I'm sure the satellite agency knows a good cleaning firm they can get in and to do the job then bill the club themselves for the usual %%%% :o

Just noticed that with our first near sell out crowd in ages anticipated the vultures have already moved in and signs have gone up on McDonalds/Aldi Car Park saying there'll be a £70 fine etc etc.

We must now be the only football ground inn the Country with no nearby on street parking, it's all taken up with residents only zones, travellers camps, cones off by the Police etc.

Absolutely ridiculous. I've always said over the years it's like the Council Don't want a local football team.

This is so important. If we are to return to being a bigger club then answers to this issue are vital. If there is virtually no public transport and very little parking what are people to do? Walk long distances in the rain? Puts off the elderly and young children and disabled for a start.

Public transport is the answer. Job for the Fans Forum?

Can't get to Ewood tomorrow sadly but I hope the fans are rewarded for 7 years of absolute torture by having a stonking party day.

Come on Rovers - don't let them down.

It's a very valid point 47er.

Darwen does it's bit and has done so for twenty odd years: Buses organised for each home game from 7 or 8 pubs: Occasionally in the past, 2 buses per pub were required.

The ritual started with 2 now defunct pubs, Bowling Green and 'The Brit' but has continued ever since, organised primarily by The Spinners and Craven Heifer but also including these days, The Function Room and Park.

Sadly, in recent times, we no longer get escorted in, bypassing all the queuing cars before and after matches because 'plod' don't seem to bother, perhaps that may change in future? Not to mention that all the buses now have to queue on Bolton Road after games because there is no bus park any longer. How would they cope if there were more buses?

I know you used to travel down from Jacks Key via the buses in the good old days, and appreciate what a great service it was. This is sadly just another one of those unintended / unforeseen consequences of inept ownership / management that just wasn't considered at any point, as we (the fans) have always been an afterthought (or actually a non-entity) in the minds of those seeking to control the fortunes of Blackburn Rovers.

Hopefully there will be a new groundswell of interest in the club which will mean these challenges, brought on by inconsiderate owners, can find new and permanent solutions that meet the needs of the ordinary Rovers fan.

It isn't a problem for me, as I can walk to the ground like I've always done (via the Mooey), but you are absolutely right to point out the permanent damage that has been wrought on the club, and the impact this might have on fans' commitment in future.

Raise a glass at 5.30 in Sarlat!

Cheers! COYB!

Are you saying that Venkys take a cut of transfer fees despite them paying the fee in the first place John? Now I despise them and I'm not a businessman but even that doesn't make sense to me.

There was a good supply of parking on the spare land opposite the Empire theatre and on the triangle. Since leaving the Premier League they've decided to build a road through it, hand over the land to travelers and allowed fly tipping, making those areas unsuitable for people to park on and probably a health and safety risk.

The Council will have parking wardens galore out in force to try and rake in some cash from the extra visitors. Shame they don't put the same effort into tackling illegal and dangerous parking on Audley Range. Shame that the one decent thing this town has going for it and the authorities will try and milk it for everything they can get.

What has Audley Range got to do with it ? ?

You and me both! I'm going with Jonny (my elder son) who remembers some epic trips with Darwen Blues (still has the T-Shirt with the Tower on it) and we are looking forward to a cracking atmosphere and a party spirit regardless of the result. It would be magical to pip the pie-eaters, but not unexpected if once again we miss out on bloody goal difference! Either way, WE ARE GOING UP!!

COYDB!! (Come On You Darwen Blues!!)

It demonstrates double standards when they are targeting Rovers fans for a few hours every two weeks and ignoring permanent dangerous and illegal parking in other parts of town.

Isn’t it obvious?

Rovers only pay for minimum police cover with the exception of high risk of public disorder. A Traffic Management company runs the traffic control normally.

I know we don’t all agree and I would love to win the league but that’s secondary for me today, it’s just going to be amazing to see Ewood full and rocking again.

Transport laid on from Accrington too for those who ever want a pint or have young uns whose  parents may  struggle to get them there  on match days. Both Sydney street W.M.C and the Castle  pub run independent  and reliable transport to and from Ewood for those who are unaware in the Accrington area.

Lol! I’m afraid after last weekend the league is indeed secondary. On lots of levels!

The general feeling back in the day was we might never ever see Rovers play at Wembley ever again.... thus so many went.

Not far wrong either, is it 3 times since then ? Play off final and 2 charity shields ? Obviously still decent but only on average once every 10years .. going back to the 1960cup final and we are still just over 1 every 10 years .... do you know what we are due a trip to Wembley. Next 2 years to do it !

Taking my little girl to her first Rovers game today and she's bouncing. I've been trying to teach her a couple of songs. Danny Graham and Richie Smallwood visited her school a few weeks back and she was in awe.

Her mother is a pretend United fan and tried to get her to support them and she said "I support Blackburn Rovers like my daddy".

Nearly welled up.

Can't wait to show her a full Ewood and hope this is the start of her undying support!!

COYB!!!
