Whatever you think of the Old Firm, they have huge fan bases (probably only bettered by two premier league clubs and even then its arguable). Or they go to Saudi or china or someother mega rich place. Quote

Gav Posted Thursday at 10:01 Posted Thursday at 10:01 We are at Ibrox later for Rangers v Athletic Bilbao Europa Play off game. It’s been another season to forget on the domestic front, with Rangers miles off the pace and Celtic dominating once again. But Rangers do seem to find another gear on these European nights, so fingers crossed. 2 Quote

After the red card, I thought Rangers would struggle, so fair play to them. I've seen Bilbao a few times this season and they're a good side. 1 Quote

Red card killed the game for Rangers, but they deserved a draw after that battling performance. The crowd were fantastic, I love going to watch Rangers, it’s like football used to be before Sky came along and sanitised the working man’s game. 1 Quote

I got offered a ticket for last night Gav, but I was more interested in watching the Masters tbh. The thing that puts me off Ibrox is the sectarian bile that is sadly still prevalent. 1 Quote

Can’t say I noticed it last night to be honest, but let’s not pretend it’s an Ibrox issue, it’s a Scottish football issue and happens at many grounds across Scotland. oldjamfan1 Posted Friday at 09:50 Posted Friday at 09:50 There’s very little sectarian trouble or arrests anywhere in Scotland in professional football unless the old firm are involved in it Gav and they are as bad as each other. I’ve been on just about every other SPL and championship ground in my 30 years up here to watch games not involving Rangers or Celtic and almost without exception - nowt. Hearts and Hibs maybe being those exceptions. But it’s certainly not widespread. ‘Junior’ (non league) football - yeah there’s a problem there but even then it’s linked to their old firm allegiances. 3 Quote

You’re right about Hearts and Hibs, I’ve also heard sectarian chanting at Killy and Dundee this season, but we digress, this is about a very good battling Rangers performance last night which keeps them in the tie for the return leg. I went to try and forget about those *****! But speaking to a couple of Gers before the game, our plight hasn’t gone unnoticed North of the border. 2 Quote
