Waggot asked owners when they're coming back to ewood.

Promised they'll come back but no set date.

Waggot has a direct line to Madame Desai and all decisions are made by him to ensure the decision making process is quicker than it has been in the past.

There is no intent to bring in outside investors by Venkys and they're happy to keep supporting BRFC themselves.

We're relying on a benefactor model at present.

Steve Waggot has no definitive answer as to what Venkys reasons were to buy the club.

18/19 turnover is projected to be at 75/80% higher than it is currently - Cheston

Will Venkys want their money back from the club? - Venkys have never given any indication they would want it back.. the loan is interest free.  The Venkys have sent a letter to EFL saying they are happy to continue funding the club. The club cannot pay them back at present anyway.

Hawk eye comes into play this season, cost of £85,000 to the club.

Programmes will be available next season but how they are ordered and sold is to be reviewed. Maybe a membership scheme.

New initiatives..

Big investment on new turnstile system, anyone on kid ticket that's an adult will be stopped.

Data capturing etc is better.

Blues bar is being revamped and will be ready for start of season.

Every pitch the club owns has been upgraded.

Hoping to get multi-dispensers for half time pints also hoping to install contactless asap.

Back to shirts, hoping for multiple sponsors before the season starts.

Stadium maintenance...

Waggot says they need to conform to health and safety regs, agrees things need to be looked at and they'll be addressed and prioritised.

Let club know if there are particular areas that need immediate work.

Big investment and says In honesty it is probably a 10 year plan before full maintenance is complete, and by that time they'll need to start again.

Final decision on DE closure was Waggots. Says it makes complete commercial sense due to high away followings this season.

Club will help make corner of JW lower a designated singing section, currently monitoring the numbers going in.

Season tickets.. already in excess of last season's sales with 6/7 weeks to go before start of season and transfer activity to go.

16% are NEW customers (not returning)

Early bird deadline won't be extended.

New season tickets sent out last week of July or first week in August due to the new turnstile system. New cards will last for 3 years at least.

Chapman wants to come back to Rovers. Mowbray says he still feels he's more of an impact off the bench player at present. Didn't give anything else away.

Thanks for the updates Madon, much appreciated. Very encouraging news on ST sales.

Didn't sound promising when asked about Armstrong. Spoke of his goalscoring record not being great in championship.

Back to Chapman,  Middlesbrough would be open to Chapman coming to Rovers if the numbers are right.

Reading between the lines on what was said about players, Armstrong wouldn’t be seen as value for money and won’t happen unless he took much lower wages than he’s on and even then it would cost a good amount up front.

Chapman may well happen but it sounds like it’s down to Harry, he won’t be starting so he’d have to be happy with a place on the bench and fighting to improve.

An interesting point for me is Waggott is clearly keen to redevelop the Riverside (spoke of hotel etc) whether that happens or not who knows

Point of correction. I’m pretty sure Greg Coar said that it was 15-16% of sales were to new AND returning customers.

Ah, I may be wrong then.. apologies if so!

Sounds like a first step towards the priming of the minds to the shutting of the Riverside.  May well be it needs a lot of work doing although the numbers in it will hardly be straining it but at the same time the demand or lack of it won't make it a priority nor worthwhile at present if it needs substantial work in the near future.

Mural anyone ?
