I think its more to do with the club not having some connection with Kenny. Once he left in 1996 it was a sort of cold departure and both parties never looked back it seemed. Lets be honest, Blackburn Rovers will never be near those heights again. You would think they would be loved and adored rather than fondly remembered. That's the impression I get anyway.
