The manner in which he mugged off Jagielka for the 3rd was sublime! Certainly doesn't look out of place at this level and this was a very competitive friendly.

Dack was poor (by his high standards) in the last few games of last season,great to hear he is finding form, needs to hit he ground running this season.

Excellent performance. This was probably very close to our starting lineup. You could tell that this was the backbone of the promotion team. Well organised and suprisingly fluid (given our lack of attacking options). Dack was MOM, but also credit to Smallwood and Evans in the midfield who never gave the ball away. Won a lot of second balls with high pressure.

Second that about Evans and Smallwood, who I noticed were doing their bit for the cause in defence, blocking shots, chasing down etc.

Last season 11 behind the ball every single game, imagine how good he will be this season, with teams open against us every game.

Season can't come soon enough now on the back of that, definitely a bounce from promotion evident as well as a team looking the fittest and most organised it has at this stage for about 8 years.

A proper experienced manager delivers a proper pre season with players who want to do it for a change.
