There's a couple of plates spinning...

We are currently still looking at our first choices..

No panic yet, we have our current CEO on a new long-term contract..

Our scouting network has improved, by the way

We hope to get our new board in before our trip to Pune in September..

The market is crazy, executives currently want paying in line with other clubs in this league..

No panic.

If only they could loan them in ..... then again Paul Senior and one or two others probably were !

I know this sounds daft, but do we really need a load of money going out on executives, each month, when we’re struggling to attract players because of financial matters?

Don't think there's much chance of new executives coming in. We're on the bare minimum on that front with 2 having tried to get by with 1 up until last season. We've less executives than a lot of Conference clubs.

I think Waggott was referring to a re-shuffle in terms of the club's management so expect a couple of 'promotions' of existing staff to new positions etc.

It isn't daft at all. Many organisations are weighed down by bloated management structures. The threadbare way we were being run was not the ideal model, but neither is a model where there are too many executives involved. I can't see that happening here with Venkys anyway

Wonder if there is still a grinning ghost of many names in the boardroom? or as he gone back to looking after biscuits and helping just like family members?

If you mean Suhail, he was in Ewood when we met with Steve Waggot the other week about the Darwen End.

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of who pays him ? club, owners, both, someone else, combination of all three ???

Or was he there just to generate commission ?

Well officially (job advert) and no doubt on the terms of his work visa the club pay him as a 50k a year errand boy. Would love to see that visa application

Someone not giving a thumbs up to Shabby. Seems an honest bloke with a fair old couple of sleeves who has kicked on since Shebby deemed him surplus.

Really interesting website that - the Appleton piece is great. Scouted the wrong team - hilarious.

Appreciate the link.

What's happened to the plan to build a new outdoor football pitch at the back of the Darwen end connected to the indoor centre.
