Was always a player who got better as he continued to be left out of the team. Maybe injuries are a big cause but not overly surprised to see his career nose dive after release.

I still remember watching his equaliser at the new Brentford ground, back during the early days of the post-Covid return. Thought it may have been the spark he needed but it just never seemed to be for him.

Best of luck to him over in the Maiden City. Perhaps not the career he imagined himself having but it's a fine time to get onboard at Derry City, a team that's certainly looking forwards and upwards after a strong few years (one can only imagine how that feels!).

I always liked Davenport when he played for the first team. Good luck to him at Derry City.

Incidentally, earlier in the thread, comparisons were being made between him and Tom White. I see Tom White plays for Barrow now.

I think he’s been there a while.

He was released this summer, was with Barrow for 3 years since his release by Rovers
