Backroom Tom Posted July 18, 2018 Backroom Posted July 18, 2018 (edited) Just now, rog of the rovers said: Looks nicer in the official shots. Interesting to see it in the flesh. Blue looks too light... My main issue with this is that there are navy elements but the sponsor is black, would look much better in navy. Odd thing is the logo for the company is navy on their twitter profile pick so black isn’t something they are known for Mowbray and Waggott May miss Coventry a bit! Overall I like it for a change though Edited July 18, 2018 by Tom Quote

JHRover Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 I heard the away kit was to be yellow which I think fits with the colour of the training gear that we've had. Although it wouldn't surprise me if we ended up with a dark blue one especially now we've a pale blue and white home strip. I'll never understand the logic behind Rovers having a dark blue away shirt with white on it, yet we've had it numerous times over the years including in our last Championship season. Seems pointless and ensures a 3rd kit is needed when playing away at the numerous clubs that wear dark blue or white at home. Having seen the full kit it is almost identical to the Zebra home strip. I don't mind the pale blue as I think it makes a nice change from time to time. Don't like the socks at all, would be better in pale blue or white. Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 18, 2018 Moderation Lead Posted July 18, 2018 Tbh, the only thing I don't like about it is the sponsor, proper ruins it. Like when we had the Crown Paints box in black and looked like 'Crown Paints FC'. 1 Quote

afootballfan Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 I really like this kit, not keen on the sponsor though, is the ref going to book Graham for everything?? Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Nice kit, sponsor extremely ugly. Like a big ink blot. Any possibility of buying it without a sponsor? Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Wait a sec, on instagram the club just said we have signed a 3 year, 7 figure deal with the sponsor. How much are we talking here I wonder? Quote
windymiller7 Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 That's a no from me I'm afraid. Don't like the pasty baby blue, never have. Looks like the away shirt for me this season then, unless they've decided to make that in shocking pink! 1 Quote
Gumbi Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 It seems that the company have had a rebrand and until yesterday, this was their logo, which in my opinion would have looked much better. 3 Quote

BlackburnEnd75 Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Hate this Kit. Really don't like the shade of blue far far too pale. Also the Logo is too big and an eyesore. Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Ya, the black sponsor logo is too brash for the light kit. Shame Quote
Tugay's Right Foot Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 would be happier with a darker shade of blue 1 Quote
JWUpper Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Image of the back from the Rover store site too if anybody is interested... Quote

tomphil Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Do we ever have a good season when they launch a powder blue kit ? Why when they say they are nodding to history is it always the same one they nod to ? What about the multitude of other great kits we've had how about nodding to the occasionally. Great that they have what sounds like a good few quid for a sponsor but let's face it it would take a hell of a kit to make that logo look good, another tacky betting firm logo at that. Quote

Mattyblue Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 The red and blue blocks of the Riverside finally get their day in the sun... oh it's a 'heritage' kit, must be shutting down then Quote
