Fan kits are always better than corporate efforts.

Fan designers tend to be more passionate about their kit. Maybe they need to get more fans involved.

Weve had some really bad kits during Venkys time here.

The yellow shirt shows exactly why fans aren’t involved. That’s an ‘Umbro Generic Kit #17’ if ever I saw one.

As a non marquee club you’ll get what you’re given and charged through the nose for the pleasure.

I suspect that's more to do with sponsors than the club. The kit and shirt sponsor(s) will always want the say that they pay for to have their adverts put on. I doubt they would ever allow fans to take any part in that.

Do clubs have to use "certified" kit sponsors (Umbro, Nike, Adidas, etc.) to create a kit in the Football Association?

I don't think so, its just easier (manufacture /distribution/stock), no upfront costs and probably more profitable through licensing to let a specialised company produce them

I made that shirt the other day at Ewood print bar, they had the choice between navy and red text aswel, the marketing team at Rovers I was dealing with also said they chose navy for the bet10 but the firm they went with from London chose the black and they were fuming when West broms got released.

Maybe West Brom said no instead of just bending over...

I look forward to the days when Rovers once again get to choose their club ‘partners’ rather than putting up with whichever fly by night company deems us worthy of carrying their crappy logo.

Right now we are one of the top 23 clubs in the country, 6 places below Spurs.

As someone who works within the printing onto garment industry......

Why 10Bet couldn't have just used a navy background is beyond me. They could have had thousands of transfers produced in navy, that would have looked better on both the home and away kits!!

Black on both? Its a real head scratcher!

On another note, the yellow kit probably negates the need for a 3rd strip.

That said, yellow or white shorts will likely be used away at Bolton, Brentford, Derby, Preston, Reading, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday

I guess its more cost effective to print just the black logo compared to 2 different colors of the logo.

When you are talking about the numbers that will be produced the cost between black and navy garment vinyl is negligible. If it is screen printed same applies

So the collar on the shirt is Dark blue and the umbro decal on the arms is black ?

On the away keeper kit the bet10 toilet is white so it shows that they could change it, although it is a dark purple kit so it would get lost if it stayed black. Overall after seeing the templates for the umbro kits throughout summer I was really excited to see ours, even put money to the side to by myself and my lad one, but I've been left quite disappointed in both our attempts. I'm sure I'll cheer back up when we are storming the league and in the top 2 by Christmas.

"The kit, which will be worn for the first time during Saturday’s season opener away at Ipswich Town, provides a modern take on a classic design that has proved popular throughout the club’s history.

Most notably, the club wore yellow during the 1992 Division 2 play-off final victory over Leicester City at Wembley, which sealed promotion to the newly-formed Premier League."

If they stick to the historical story , hopefully next season we get funny little hats as well, which surely should have featured this year  140th year anniversary since their appearance

Away kit is much better than the home kit...which isnt hard.

Home kit is shocking. Away kit is ok. Im not overly excited by either but much prefer the away. Quite like the Navy blue shorts with the Yellow.

My favourite kit in recent times is last seaons away kit or the red and black halves a few years ago.
