I think Blackpool fans are asking a lot to expect to be much better off than they are at the moment. First season under new ownership and management, finally rid of the Oystons. Most of them going to games now were boycotting last year, now moaning about Grayson and their league position. Were in League Two with Oyston only a couple of years ago.

Nowhere near as big as Sunderland, Portsmouth, Ipswich etc. who are pushing for promotion. Not sure on what basis they think they should be higher than they are.

Not very well. Good start but his true colours are coming through. Bang average manager.  The guy struggles to speak properly so god knows how he gets a dressing room of young lads on board.

I think Blackpool shouldn't be in the playoffs picture under the new ownership and will take time for Grayson to build his squad. They got rid of Oyston finally cant expect miracles in the 1st few months of a new ownership reign.

He deffo knows how to get promotion from this league

They need snookers now.

They won’t like it, and they still think they have been hard done to but for the rest of the EFL, Bolton being relegated again is probably what needed/needs to happen.

And still it does not bode well for Rovers because we have them or Bury as precedents...

Apart from the 4 promotions suggest he isn't without ability. That's 2 or 3 than a number of the incumbents we have had of late...

Superb stuff at villa park

Screw sacrificing the cups, we’ll always remember Cardiff, let fans have their moments and respect cup competitions more

The job he did at Shrewsbury was his peak. He missed it up big time at Ipswich with his crap attitude

The Ipswich job was undoubtedly a tough one but his confidence became arrogance, similar to the likes of David Moyes when he went to Man Utd, Hurst thought the methods he used to be successful at a smaller club would seamlessly transfer to a bigger club. He got rid of and/or alienated key staff left over from the McCarthy era, was never really accepted by the Ipswich players who particularly hated his assistant Chris Doig, had too much faith in lower league players making the step up without the support of more experienced players to guide them, and ended up leaving the club in a much, much worse state than he found it in.

He's young so theoretically can still recover but his stock is at an all time low at this point.

Lambert won't be too popular either tonight after Ipswich were trounced 4-1 at home by Peterborough. They are now down to 4th after going 1st and proceeding to lose two on the spin.

In the playoffs and can get top 2 aswell.

Good season for them so far. What the complaining about tbh?

Not winning for two months (November 9th - January 11th) will give most fans cause for complaint - particularly when the manager is rewarded with a five year contract during that run, having relegated them the season before with a record that showed no improvement on Paul Hurst. They've also failed to beat anybody in the top eight this season (D6 L4), and have been beaten 5-3 by Lincoln as well as 4-1 at home today by Peterborough, who are local rivals. The performance in the 1-0 loss to Rotherham midweek was terrible as well.

A lot of the teams below Ipswich have games in hand, so feasibly they could be out of the playoff positions fairly soon. If I was a Town supporter I'd certainly be worried.

And still 4th in League.

Rather on the points on the board.

Things could be worst

Things can always be worse, but it's perfectly understandable why Ipswich fans would be concerned by what they are seeing currently.

I don't have much sympathy for them after they hounded McCarthy out, mind. Many of them are getting exactly what they deserve.

Surely Owen Coyle could have argued that things could have been worse as we were 23rd werent we when he was sacked? Feeble response.

Lambert is a crap manager who talks the talk and has excuses but cant back it up. Did just as bad a job as Hurst last season.

A response mentioning Coyle is plain and simple pathetic.

Crap manager? Give it a rest. 4th in the league. Cant be that crap ?

Apart from that though it's going great!

The wider context of Ipswich shows Lambert isn't doing that well at all. When you compare McCarthy had them midtable-ish and you think that they have fallen a heck of a way in 2 poor managers.

Lambert looking less like a manager with each passing year. Thought he was a good one when we appointed him but actually over time his overall record is rather poor.

Lambert talks a good game at times but there's no way Ipswich should be going two months without a win in League 1, nor should they be conceding 5 goals against Lincoln or 4 at home to Peterborough. They can still go up automatically but they desperately need to find some consistency in the next few months. Apparently Lambert is worse than Mowbray when it comes to unnecessary rotation which is causing a lot of their problems.

Been gladwin scores for mkdons 6 minutes after coming on as sub probably his right level now

2 defenders bouncing off him before he curled it into the corner. He could be League 1's new Bradley Dack.

Perhaps we should keep tabs on him.

I was surprise Norwood didn't start yesterday..

The defence shouldn't be conceded 9 games in 2 games
