JacknOry Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Lenihan is the one i want to hear about and then Dack. Hopefully we start moving in the transfer market once we have tied down the players we want.

He has a lot to prove after the last couple of seasons in my opinion.

I didn't like it last season when he had a run of starting games when everyone knew he couldn't last 90 minutes and would need to be taken off after 60 minutes. That isn't his fault and I don't doubt his effort and professionalism, its just a sign of the times that he cannot complete 90 minutes any more. It seems silly to me starting him knowing that one of our subs is already used up taking Conway off after an hour. If he knows and the manager knows that he's a second half sub that can come on and use his experience then I'm happy with it. As you say if he he starts that's a sub used up straight away. It doesn't make any sense to me. The guy is getting older and slower and we're playing at a higher level.

ruggles1995 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 happy that DG has re-sgined for another season. Would rather of let Conway go tho....Didnt look too great in league one. I think his age has caught up with him. DG would be a good squad player. Need some strikers in the door.

Al Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 I must say that I am completely underwhelmed by the resigning of Conway other than as an out and out coach.

I thought I'd made that pretty clear. No. I would have thanked him for his service and allowed him to join another club. Re-signing him isn't a step in the right direction. Just my opinion of course. 1

afootballfan Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Josh Murphy to Cardiff, wonder if that'll see us in for Pilkington

I don't buy the leader/coach/experience/knows the club line that is being spun to justify his contract. I have seen enough of him over the last couple of seasons to know he simply isn't good enough anymore. 6

Bigdoggsteel Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 It's funny that people are getting worried because Conway is about to sign a 1 year extension
