Who's opinion are you spouting here exactly?

Whilst it's far from certain the squad is good enough to hold its own it's also far from certain to say it's not.

for what it's worth I'd say it's a better squad than the one that went down 2 years ago.

Also you say you are basing it on the play offs which is like judging the premier league on Liverpool v Tottenham

It's certainly a better spirit in it and base to build on but it does need building on.

But yes compared to last time Steele - crap.  Brown - finished.  Greer - finished.  Ward - poor.  Lenihen & Nyambe - raw kids.

Those two older and bit more experienced now and Mulgrew and even Downing are an improvement on the rest. Raya was Steeles equal the min he put the gloves on.

So there is a better base there but it needs some help.

The spine of the team this season his Raya, Mulgrew, Smallwood, and Graham his this strong enough  to compete in championship .  For me we need a dominant  Center half a Right back who's quick and good on the ball. A creative midfielder two wingers with pace .  Armstrong if we can  and a target man who can hold the ball and get the team up the pitch . Over too you Tony

Cant take that away from em!

Question now is, is have they learned there lesson? I think they have and it's cost em a few bob in doing so.

On the TM front i've read on many occasions about ... In Tm we trust and we have faith in him etc etc. Knowing how fickle most of the fans are it makes me think how "Short a time" before they turn on him if it starts going wrong?

I hope for ours and everybody else it does'nt

Your moniker is confusing me! My eyes aren't great these days and it always looks like Pornster to me! Sorry! :(

Getting Lenihan a new contract has to be a huge priority this summer. He has potential as a future captain (behind Mulgrew and Bennettl) and needs a 4year deal signed asap with only 12 months to go.

Mulgrew (I think) only has 1 year left now and really needs that extended to 2 or 3.

Whilst I agree that Dack and Smallwood deserve improved terms to match Championship wages, to lose one or both of Mulgrew and Lenihan on free transfers next summer would be catastrophic.

We need to get as many of our squad under 30 on 3+ year contracts as possible as we cant be losing players again like Hoilett, Duffy, Marshall, King, Lowe (lol) and Mahoney on % of value.

Funnily enough Id say in Lenihan we have a dominant centre half, and in Bennett and Nyambe decent right full back options. Obviously in a perfect world we'd want better, but I don't see them as the major issues at the moment.

Raya, Mulgrew, Graham all good enough for next season imo. Not convinced with Smallwood. Think he's missing the required quality.

So for me the big areas to strengthen are :

1) one quick goal scoring striker (Armstrong if we can get him)

2) two wide players with pace and quality delivery

3) one top holding midfielder. Be a bonus if he can pass well.

Other than that need a more depth across the squad, but not starting roles.

Completely agree with everything you've said apart from on Smallwood. I think he has enough quality for the Championship. It's not the technical side of things where he is lacking, it's his pace. He can look like a slug at times, but he's effective in that CM role.

Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United interested in Dons midfielder

Relegated MK Dons look set to lose midfielder Ousseynou Cisse.

The Sun on Sunday reports both Championship side Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers, who were promoted from League One this season, are interested in the Malian powerhouse.

The 6ft 5in midfielder is an athletic, combative midfielder who played 36 times for Milton Keynes Dons last season.

Evans is a holding midfielder so was Lowe and Williamson and so is Smallwood. All this starting with two holding midfielders going back to Bowyers days is done to death for me we finally need something g a bit different in there if it can be found.

To be honest I totally believe we missed a trick not signing up David jones after we had him here, went onto Burnley and done very well for them, had we had him and cairney in the middle I believe we would’ve went up

Good call i'd forgotten about him, not a powerhouse but a combatative midfielder for sure.

There was some right balls dropped when they were insistent on building a team around Lowe etc. Bad judgement .

When David Jones first came in after having Danny Murphy in the middle all season he was a breath of fresh air. That famously bad game when we were 3-0 down at half time to Peterborough and Murphy got booed and subbed off at half time and played his last game for the club after an awful first half. Jones came on and scored and got man of the match . Gutted we didn't keep him at the time as much as he was extremely one footed.

1. Armstrong 1.5m

2. Chapman 1m + Sacko 500k

3. McGinn 3.5m

All 4 under 24 with resell value.

Need a striker, centre mid, centre half and a winger all on loan. Brandon Barker(Winger)and Jacob Davenport(Cente Mid) from City?

Thats if the India trip went well.

Nsiala is mini samba, can play rb too, happily take him here

Not for me. Doubt we sign Nolan aswell if we sign Davenport permanently.

Who knows Tyrone.

Mowbray on holiday this week I believe. So dont expect any signings in the next 10 days. He already said he spoken to some agents and players.

I dont expect Wolves type spending but sensible spending and signings. Players who fit into the squad both talent wise, money wise and attitude wise.
