Admiral Nelsen Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 For all those interested, Rovers under 23s are currently playing Burnley's kids at their place. So far, the game is going as you'd expect. About 20 minutes in, Rovers are 4-0 up. 7 Quote

Annoyingly, there's nothing about the game on Rovers twitter. Luckily, the Dingles had the foresight to make sure that someone was documenting it, but haven't said anything about Rovers other than the score. Right on cue, 5-0 Edited August 7, 2018 by Admiral Nelsen 3 Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 One wonders how long we can keep the bones of this squad, including and most importantly Johnson, together. There will surely be interest in him from a league 1 or 2 club soon enough 1 Quote
scotchrover Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Joe Hart was in their goal apparently? Can anyone confirm this? Quote

RoversClitheroe Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Lads anyone know the squad that were playing? Including subs? Interested to know who played. Quote

nbdrovers Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Hi guys, new poster/long-time lurker... Anyone have any idea what's happened to Joe Rankin-Costello? Is he injured? Haven't heard anything of him in quite a while now. Hasn't played a part in pre-season for the first team this year. Was supposedly one of those knocking on the door last year Quote

He missed the final stages of last season and I don't think was expected to be back until Sept/Oct time. Quote

Too early to tell really but he has looked very impressive at times - he has pace which is so important at any level. He's a good finisher but still has a lot to learn. 1 Quote

It's good to see a few that have come through our ranks establishing themselves as regulars in the first team.Raya,Nyambe and Lenihan have all done well. Hopefully Travis can play a part this season and Wharton and Platt return from their loan spells and are involved with us next season. Quote

Blueandwhitemike Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Has Jack Doyle gone? Thought he might have been one to possibly step up but then we signed Hart and he was loaned to Northern Ireland. Was he just not that good? Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 I liked him. I felt he had earned himself a chance and the cameo he made at Coventry he did well in. Whether he was good enough for a place in the squad remained to be seen. He was on loan at Derry last I heard. 1 Quote
