Wouldn't have thought Sharpe meant it literally or intentionally. It would be pretty poor form to infer TM was a miserable so and so who never willingly volunteered any info etc.

Sharpe's article is almost word for word the same as the interview TM did on Radio Lancs.

He's very clear not to promise a player in before the weekend,    'probably but might not'.  It's quite an illuminating interview.  Listening to it you can see why Sharpe used the word admitted.

If I remember correctly Gladwin came in very cheap but with add-ons like promotion bonuses so it's hard to say how much those add-ons were.

Dack wouldn't have ended as just 750k as I think his add-ons might have been quite significant maybe even doubling the initial price but who knows.

But arent we all saying we're happy there's not much given away about transfers. Mowbray happily talks about performances and so on just not about any transfer details

Thank you! Was starting to think it was just me this was irritating. I've been tempted to message him on Twitter and ask him to stop. It really is terrible use of language for a professional writer. Incorrectly applied, usually, as well as unimaginative by virtue of repetition.

Forest boss on Brereton. If he is 3rd choice striker then you wouldn't imagine Forest would want rid unless Karanka doesn't rate him. However, Karanka is certainly not trying to put Rovers off the chase with those comments. There might be something in Brereton not fancying the move though or else he might not have mentioned it as a possible stumbling block.

He speaks about a need for 3 parties being happy. Meanwhile the football season is well underway and the two parties dragging their feet are costing us building a stronger team. If this drags on until 31st Aug with no match time for the player ...........
