CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Rothwell has looked different gear tonight Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Corry Evans edge of box. Skies it . Shock horror Quote
AdamRochina Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 we should of won this, like seriously how poor and pathetic some of our play has been we have been far superior and its wierd im feeling bad over a draw after being 2 down, reading are piss poor Quote
Husky Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Evans has had a Kane 2016 during the last few mins. There goes his MOTM. Quote
Miker Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Nuttall has tried hard tonight, but he’s not ready for the Championship. Quote
Roboftherovers82 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 even with our weaken team selection we should of won this we deffo need more players in to help us out Quote
Ewood Ace Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Take the point with that side out. Reading got what they deserved for being so negative and unambitious, as I think we were there for the taking. Raya's command of his area was awful again tonight it cost us one goal an could have cost us another in the final seconds. Quote
Roboftherovers82 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Rothwell was unbelievable only good thing from tonight for me Quote
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Evans can be an utter disgrace of a footballer at times 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Ended 2-2 can’t complain after being 2 down but we should complain about going 2 down at home to Reading. Great fight and spirit though. Quote
Ricky Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 No idea why we didn’t put the ball in the box in the last minute. Instead we play it backwards and nearly get in trouble. Too many draws, 3 out of 4 but still unbeaten. Quote
Doaksie Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 It's hard to be disappointed with a point, being 0-2 down at half time, with this 11 on the pitch. It took 2 penalties, as they had zero threat of creating a goal between them, but that was 3 points on a plate for a full strength side. Big 9 days ahead for Tony. As he says, the group needs help. On tonight's showing, urgent help! But Dack returns, and we go again. Still unbeaten. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted August 22, 2018 Backroom Posted August 22, 2018 Considering how terrible we were in the first half and the glaring lack of quality going forward we have to be happy with a draw. It's come at a big cost injury wise though. If Armstrong is out on Saturday then God help us! Quote
AdamRochina Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 poor result in a way but from 2 down we shall take the point but my god how bad are reading? my favriotes for the drop they are so poor, with our full strength side out we walk this game with ease. some shocking football though from both sides, second half with a weaker team we looked for more energetic, we need more players in, we need to replace smallwood, nuttal samuel and move bennet in the centre as he is class there, Quote
Husky Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Thank God for McShane. I think we could have played until midnight and not scored from open play. Quote
jim mk2 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Still undefeated and a great team spirit to fight back but an opportunity missed to gain 3 points against a poor Reading side. 3rd division defending and poor mindset in the 1st half cost us dearly. We played properly for only 45 minutes again - a similar fault to last season. More players injured and new signings desperetaly needed - but then the club has known that all summer. Quote

Butty Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Well I'd have certainly taken a point at half time!!! Rothwell different player when moved centrally, dropped deep and got on the ball and always looked forward impressive. Abysmal First half performance aside, great response second half. Still unbeaten and with Dack hopefully back for Saturday we should take confidence from getting back into that game tonight. Hopefully get a new player in before the weekend to throw in to the mix also as we desperately need it. Nuttall not good enough for the championship but at least he tried when he came on. Quote
roversoutsider Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 What a player Rothwell looks. Very calm and composed even under pressure. Needs to start CM next game. 1 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 It's criminal that we were 2 goals behind. We've been the better side throughout by a big distance. That said we were two goals down to appalling defending from Mulgrew and Lenihan. So we only have ourselves to blame. Rothwell looks a real find. He's clearly going to be a big player for us. Lots of allround quality. Nyambe, Evans and Bennett all very good. Think Nuttall has done really well also since on too. Personally I'm not convinced by Bell. His final ball seems very poor. Maybe just caught him on a bad day. Another should have won, but great performance in second half to get back level. Shame two spots of terrible defending killed us. 2 Quote

Butcher Bennett, Evans, Nyambe! Rothwell is a real player. Two enforces changes on top of two enforced substitutions; still looked really good but lacking that final bit of quality. Nuttalls header dips beneath the bar, it’s a different story! 1 Quote
superniko Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Rothwell looked really good. Himself and Nyambe were stand out. The rest fairly poor though Mulgrew slotted both his pens. Could have been different had the 2 early chances gone in.. We'd have killed the game off. I think at full strength we have a decent 11, just no depth, and these injuries just highlight we need to get some loans in. Raya Nyambe - Lenihan - Mulgrew - Bell Bennett - Rothwell Armstrong - Dack - Palmer Graham Quote
