Brentford are flying at the moment and that will be an exceptionally tough test. This looks by far the more likely proposition. Six points and eleven points from five games would of course be dreamland. I know what you’re saying Rev, but 5 points from 9, mid table after 3 games, with 129 points left to play for. It’s not how I’d define a “must win” game. Quote

chemosabby Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 i fancy us to do better against the tougher outfits. Don't know about tonight with their newish line up,would take a draw. But reckon we'll win Saturday. Quote
jim mk2 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Victory tonight would put us in the top 6 if other results go our way. So while beating Reading is not a "must-win" it's would be a big confidence boost for players and fans to see us so high in the table this early in the season. 1 Quote
chemosabby Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 there are no must wins.like there are no !must lose. maybe some must draw. i'll predict a draw ! Quote
JeffRover Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 At least we get to gaze at our brand new LED advertising boards if the game is sh!t. Back in the big time lads! Quote

Neal Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Totally different test for us tonight than last weekend. Hull forwards weren't particularly mobile and Reading will have lots more pace in Barrow, Sims and Aluko... Which worries me against Evans, Smallwood and Mulgrew who aren't particularly quick. Can see a score draw here. Quote

I could be wrong butI think that is what Rev is getting at So based on that yeah must win. In terms of over the season not so much. Quote
CD_93 Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 (edited) Hart back on the bench. Nuttall, too. Lets see how Rothwell does. Edited August 22, 2018 by CD_93 Quote
RoversClitheroe Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Very weak bench. No Dack or Kasey Palmer. Shows how badly signings are needed. 1 Quote
ChrisPriceBaldSpot Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 No Dack or Palmer. Hart on bench. Could be interesting Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 No Dack and the bench is shite. We need signings. What's wrong with Palmer? Quote

Ruaney Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Anyone know if Palmer was carrying a knock? Quote
Ewood Ace Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 (edited) That must be one of the worst benches we have ever had. Waggott, Mowbray or whoever is in charge of transfers need to pull their finger out and bring some players in, other than Downing and potentially Travis that bench is not good enough for League 1 football. Travis is clearly a decent prospect but hardly someone you’d call on when needing a breakthrough/chasing a game. As I say, pitiful and illustrates just how badly we need reinforcements. Quote
AdamRochina Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 No longer confident , first loss of the season coming up me thinks Quote
Backroom Tom Posted August 22, 2018 Backroom Posted August 22, 2018 Tonight could have been a big night for Palmer with Dack out. As others have said three games and a couple of knocks in we look scarily short of quality in depth. Barrow on the bench for them could be intimidating for tired legs later Quote
Cherry Blue Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Nuttall's on the bench but was he playing for U23s on Monday. Quote
