BlackburnEnd75 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 I’d go Leutwiler Travis Downing Rodwell Bell Reed Whittingham Conway Palmer Rothwell Nuttall subs: Raya, lenihan, Smallwood, Bennett, graham & whoever else is fit enough to play. If Samuel, Davenport or Williams were fit I’d be starting them but I don’t think they are. 1 Quote
Give 'Em the Axe Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16601513.rovers-set-to-make-changes-after-superhuman-effort/?ref=mac Bennett and Evans are gonna be rested for this one according to the article. Can't say that's a bad idea, really. Quote
blueboy3333 Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Same team as the weekend but with Travis for Evans and Conway for Bennett. Maybe he'll give also give Reed a game and bring Downing in for a Lenny or Mulgrew. Mogga won't want to be humiliated by 4th Division Dingle-Slayers. Quote
benhben Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 I think this game is a good chance to give some game time to our promising U23s with some experience to help them along. Leutweiler Nyambe Downing Rodwell Doyle? Travis Hardcastle Reed Conway Nuttall Rankin-Costello? Subs. Whittingham Bell Tomlinson Mols Raya Palmer Lenihan Quote

philipl Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Lincoln have been something of a bogey club before I was born.... Quote
Admiral Nelsen Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Ideally I'd like to rest both Lenihan & Mulgrew for this one, considering they'll both be away with their countries. Not sure how we can manage that if Rodwell's not ready, as it seems like TM has hinted at. Realistically, I'd like to see something like this: Raya Travis Lenihan Downing Bell Reed Tomlinson Conway Palmer Rothwell Nuttall Quote
afootballfan Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Think we'll be playing Downing, and think Reed, Travis & Conway should start Quote
philipl Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 I think it would be nice to be in the next round without penalties. Quote
bboy Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Think as many have suggested the worst result tonight would be another injury to a first team player. So as many from the u21 as possible, maybe include Rodwell, travis, nutall and wheel out wittingham from the dust heap. Quote
OJRovers Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Rodwell not ready according to Tony. Needs a couple of weeks training to get in the match day squad. Quote
JamieUK Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 (edited) I can't see where the changes are going to be made with the injuries we have and the U23 side last night. Raya Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bell Travis Smallwood Conway Palmer Rothwell Nutall Leutwiler, Caddis, Hart, Downing, Rodwell (purely cos there's nobody else to take a seat on the bench) / Whittingham (cant see it as he hasn't been anywhere near), Reed, Graham So just Bennett & Evans out from the side that started at the weekend which has been widely reported anyway... I'd give Reed a go instead of Smallwood but he's only just come in and don't think the manager will throw him straight in. Edited August 28, 2018 by JamieUK Quote
Gone to seed Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Going on for this one, hoping to see some of the fabulous team.spirit that has taken root in the squad. Not expecting a classic by any means, but hoping to be entertained. Cmon ye Blues! Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 1,000+ Lincoln fans expected..not bad! Quote

Lincoln along with Luton, Leicester and Leeds often upset the applecart. I second that. I remember it well. In 1953/54 (I think) we lost away at Lincoln 8-0. That equalled our heaviest ever defeat to Arsenal. Later that season my dad took me to Ewood in January where we gained some revenge with a 6-0 victory. Quote
roversoutsider Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Lenihan and Nuttal are certs to start for me, going off the club's Instagram My team would be: Leutwiler Travis Lenihan Downing Williams Tomlinson Reed Bennett Rothwell Conway Nuttall Lincoln are a strong physical side with pacy players. We will have to start off well and give them their due respect. 2-1 Rovers #COYB Quote
