He is one of the best center half's in the league and was within our budget

If an English person recommends an English player, do you ask them the same question?

A bit far he’s decent but not worth 4 million. Bauer should have been got, he’d be a star in this division.

Hows Horgan and co you recommended from the republic of Irish league?

He is one of the best centre halves in the league this year. Starting for the team who I reckon will get automatic promotion. He is definitely worth at least 4 million.

How do you work out that Bauer would be a star in this division, is he even a star in league 1?

Horgan hasn't really gotten going, but Alan Brown is flying it and regularly gets man of the match.

I wouldn't say it's bias. If you know any Irish people you would know that we specialise in criticizing our own! On Julie I think she gets a hard time when there were far worse players here over the years. Far, far worse.

It's just you seem to be a bit partial to guys from over the water.

We've had some great Irish players in my time _ my best Irish 11 in a 4-4-2 formation.

Given

Johnson, Hunter, Moran, Kenna

Brotherston, Rogers, McGrath, Duff

McEvoy, Dougan.

Subs- A Kelly, Lenihan, Carsley, Gillespie, McAteer, Stapelton, Reid.

I'm actually not overly partial as we are shite at the moment, I probably just recognise the players more than someone who isn't from here.

Some good players there. We could do with Brotherson and Duff now. Moran too.

Not forgetting Eamonn Rogers, Andy McEvoy....

Yeah Eamon Rogers could have been whatever he wanted to be. A David Dunn who could tackle.

A joy to watch.  Very few players of his era could bend / swerve a ball like Rogers.

Good lad. Could be just what he needs. Lets get him playing some games up front and firing for next season.

Brereton scores for U 23's?  Good.

2 now and an assist

Another one for Nutts too.

Maybe we need to be dropping Graham and playing these two!

Hope that once we are confirmed safe Mowbray picks a load of youngsters.

Crucial info needed is... Did he play CF?

LT seemed to suggest at the start that he played behind Nuttall, like a Dack role. From the updates it sounded like he was everywhere. His name popped up a lot, creating chances, missing them, scoring them.

It did sound like he should probably have bagged a hat trick, so maybe the confidence issues aren't fully ironed out but it must have done him a world of good. Not sure why both he and Nuttall were taken off near the end, both on hat tricks. Brereton in particular could have done with a hat trick and a full 90 minutes under his belt.

That's his natural level at the min I think you'd have to be seriously blinkered not to see that, it'll do him the world of good and he should stay there a spell or go between the two to get some fire back in his belly.

Any coincidence that he finally gets selected for the U23s on the night his old club, the one he supports are playing their biggest rivals ?  Hmmm... ?

It’s Doncaster’s under 18s, so let’s not get too carried away...

Is that right? They were badged as U23s this evening.
