tomphil Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 That kind of money invested sensibly this season might deliver a stab at the play offs. Why not tie a lump of it up in a good centre half who can serve us a few seasons even if his value might not increase dramatically ? 1 Quote

Keep a player for 4-5 seasons, his value might end up going up substantially just through player inflation 1 Quote

We need to be bang in the middle on at least a couple of them and yes a good one will cost money and wages but if you got a say 28/29 year old good defender for a few million and he becomes a reliable rock in defence for four years or more surely it's money well spent even if he doesn't have resale profit. It's got to be about good medium term team building as well as future profit or cheaper gap plugging I think they've lost sight of that at Ewood. Edited May 31, 2019 by tomphil 1 Quote

Backroom Tom Posted June 3, 2019 Backroom Posted June 3, 2019 Definitely saw Derrick Williams with heavily pregnant wife and Tyrone Dobbs - not together, and still think it was Big Ben although I would have thought they would have been in Dubai or similarly Quote

USABlue Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Anybody else think this knee injury ends his Rovers career. Not that bad of an injury but given his lack of confidence, his lack of stregth, does this play on his mind as he shits out of challenges. I think it does Quote

Maybe TM will then take note. 1 Quote

He played in the under 23's towards the end of last season and scored some goals. I didn't see any improvement in him when he got first team game time after that. Quote
