Although it could just as easily be Liverpool v City. Couldn't predict the last 2 teams now. I know they’re professionals but a Barca Ajax final would make it very tricky for De Jong and De Ligt (the latter should be announced at the end of the season so I hear). You’re right though - what a phenomenal team Ajax have built. Quote

Norbert Rassragr Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 De Ligt certainly looked worthy of the hype last night. He was amazing. It's a shame football is as bad as Formula one for the big teams with billionaire backers can click their fingers and get these players. I'd have loved to see a revived Ajax with their young players being a major force again. 2 Quote
SBlue Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 (edited) Is it just me that thinks Spurs being 10/1 to win this match is crazy? Hoping for a cracking game anyway haha 1-0 down 2-2 in 10 mins!!! Edited April 17, 2019 by S8 & Blue Quote
Backroom Tom Posted April 17, 2019 Backroom Posted April 17, 2019 Goal city 1-0 goal spurs 1-1 goal spurs 1-2 goal city 2-2 only 11 minutes gone!!! Away goals is a silly rule for me though Quote
SBlue Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 3-2 Good. I was a bit bored with 8 goalless minutes. 2 Quote

Stuart Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I really shouldn’t care either way but I honestly cannot stand Spurs. Barca’s Champions League this year. 1 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted April 17, 2019 Backroom Posted April 17, 2019 I still don’t understand offside, the spurs player played the ball but did it become second phase when it hit the city player? 1 Quote
Stuart Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 (edited) Just now, Tom said: Always been a fan of VAR but feel robbed of a moment there If it was definitely offside then it is fair. If Spurs goal was definitely not handball then it’s fair but what a ridiculous way to settle such a dramatic a cup tie. No winners tonight. Still, City need to learn to defend then they wouldn’t need to worry about such fine margins as away goals. Liverpool will win the league and Van Dyke will win POTS for that reason alone. From the angle the ref got it was pretty difficult for him to overturn it. Though it obviously brushed his hand as you could see in Lorente's reaction whilst waiting for VAR: He wasn't confident at all. Quote
