It's a dive.

no way is that a dive, smallwoods took his leg with his trailing leg, blatant penalty, glad the ref is blind

Do you say anything positive? Everything you say is negative and against the Rovers. You must be a Dingle plant.

i said i was glad the ref is blind? we havent played bad at all today infact giving villa a good game, weve been pretty solid just need a little more threat in open play

Typical Rovers at mo. Dominate first 30, almost predictable that they might get some daft soft goal out of nothing-cue Lenihan slipping/messing about and pen should have been given. Player was falling but Smallwood definitely caught him. Ref evened up after Dack’s ruled out? - (very close offside but Hutton looked to be playing him on.)

Our goal was definitely onside. No way the linesman could have seen a clear offside from his position (mainly because there wasn't one). Still, we were let off the hook too so it's just a case of both teams having to put up with the usual poor officiating.

We've played well, move the ball around well, winning set pieces, but then doing nothing with them. Lenihan has had plenty of headers in their box but with no end product. Need to sharpen that a bit.

a half in which we have looked the better side, villa looking dangerous in little flashes, bar the lehinhan slip we havent given them much space and we have been pretty solid at the back, in saying that i dont think we have been that good up top in open play, we look to rely on set peices ect we need to try get dack into the game a little more, all in all a pretty decent first half

Can’t agree with poor officiating –the usual bleating of home fans. The linesman can’t see Hutton from his side so it’s the only decision he can make. The penalty involved definite contact but the player was already falling –enough to give doubt –could have gone either way. At the speed these officials have to see it, they do pretty well without the hindsight of several TV replays afforded to armchair pundits (and even then you can get differing views on decisions).
