blueboy3333 Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 I'm always interested in hearing new/old music that has passed me by. There is no greater joy than a banging tune. ? So if you love something shove it in here. I am currently listening to this beauty:- 1 Quote

Backroom Mike E Posted September 14, 2018 Backroom Posted September 14, 2018 (edited) Now that I'm engaged, I'm having to listen to all sorts of slow music (waltz or saunter or foxtrot) to decide on our first dance. Of course, these songs are riddled with sickeningly sweet poetry. Even the decent 'slow rock' type songs are becoming unbearable. So in absolute contrast, to keep me sane, I've been belting out this unashamedly self-indulgent classic: Edited September 14, 2018 by Mike E Quote
blueboy3333 Posted September 14, 2018 Author Posted September 14, 2018 This went a lot worse than I expected? Quote

Husky Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 I remember picking this classic out of the bargain bin back at Andy's Records (R.I.P) Blackburn centre. Quote
old darwen blue Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 That is possibly the worst record that I have ever heard. Quote

It's up to 1986 at the moment. Quote

old darwen blue Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 That’s not an attempted comeback, Wigwam was a project by Damion Albarn from Blur and he wrote it. I agree it’s rubbish though. Alison however..... grrr Quote

Paul Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 @Mike E congratulations. I was at a wedding yesterday, a couple in their early 30s. Go for a first dance to something you love, not what tradition dictates. I've no idea what the first dance was yesterday but it was loud, fast and got the whole room up in a moment. And don't forget the older generation in the playlist. But back on topic - Roy Harper "Grown Ups Are Just Silly Children" amongst many other wonderful ditties. Quote

DeeCee Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 This always reminds me of an Ossy lad (and Rovers fan) who passed away before his time. R.I.P. Johnny Booth. 1 Quote

Bigdoggsteel Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Listening to a lovely African blues playlist on Spotify. I love the "discover weekly" function. I have it set up on the PS4 with 5.1 surround sound. Magic. If anyone is looking for something a bit different, the Ruberbandits have some interesting songs. Comedy, but with good beats. Don't call them novelty, they hate that. Quote
