Looks like a second division team playing a third division team at Pride Park.

It's a Championship starting line-up according to the experts

No need for a dig at posters. Shame you go that low..just like your comment in the cricket thread

Horrrendous performance and Ive no idea how we are still level.

Massive worry how unable we are to even remotely stop a team with any sort of momentum. Wave after wave without any of our players unable to get hold of the ball, with our players at times aiding them in their attacks with stupid mistakes. We need to be able to control and manage games far better.

We are also so worryingly reliant on 33 year old Danny Graham. Armstrong doesnt look like a striker.

No wonder we look at sixes and sevens at times with that clown behind them. Some of Rayas goalkeeping has been laughable.

Mowbray got his selection wrong but at least he tried to change it up early.

For me Conway has essentially retired himself.

Armstrong and Dack may as well have not come out and Palmer hasnt been much better.

Probably need to use another sub at half time just to try and grab a point.

Jim called it before, blind loyalty to some players is a massive mistake. Needs to grow a pair and start dropping some of them.

Smallwood is all heart but minimal quality. Needs replacing in January if no one is any better.

We re still sitting with a point ? job well done first half.

just taken them to HT and now down to a 45 min game with us to make a couple of changes to maybe push forward .

Well that was shocking. Putting Graham on to support the invisible Armstrong has made a difference though. We do actually look like we can pose them a problem or two now.

Palmers not been good but about the least bad of all the forward players we have out.

Picking only two subs will be hard as id want Brereton; Reed and Rothwell on for Armstrong Evans and Palmer.

Starting Conway has cost us there

That half was anything but job well done.

It’s 0-0 through luck more than by design.

Because you are obsessed in singling Palmer out. Dack and Armstrong have been equally ineffective, and the whole team have been poor.

Sounds to me like Tony has tinkered way too much. Hopefully we have got our bad half out of the way now.  Tinker for the cup games, play settled sides in the league - simple.

It might be that we've got a sickness bug running through the squad again though.

We don't need to wait until January, there are players in the squad who are simply better right now.

Palmer been awful..

If Armstrong is the main striker you need to play the ball down the sides and into feet like Hull away.

Just got in...Where are Rothwell, Bennett?

Sat in plastic seats watching the game. :(

Rothwell must be another one of those players not playing ‘the Rovers way’. Not sure why Bennett is out.

Mowbray seems to prefer Smallwood and Evans to start games.

Getting to half time still level has been a minor miracle. More than one reason for the mullering IMO: Derby do look good, we are leaving too much space in front of the back 4 - Smallwood should drop back 5 yards - Palmer has zero defensive nous, Conway should’ve been shot for keeping that attack alive, Raya has been a bag of nerves, and Dack hasn’t touched theball for half an hour. Wrong line up but I bet Mogga has never subbed in the half hour mark in his career; that and the bodies on the line defending has kept us in it.

I fancy a smash n grab 1-0 win here

Exactly. The starting XI was missing Mulgrew, Reed, Bennett and Rothwell for a start.

At the game.

They are a good side.

Maybe im just not educated enough to understand what Cory Evans is good at or what he does. But he has reverted to type after he got his call up. Richie is as good or better in 90% of the qualities needed to be a CM and at least he can be arsed.

Palmer can do one too. Lazy and no footballing brain.

Rothwell and Reed come on down.

Be delighted to escape with a point.

Class summary.

Smallwood by far a better player than Evans.

Palmer will never become a playrr you can rely on (not defensive)

Armstrong poor.

Dack invisible.

Rovers ?

The whole team has chaddy. We are lucky not to be 3 or 4 down.

Completely overrun, when we push up they pass around the back and bypass 4/5 players. We need Palmer and Dack to start showing more for the ball just to soak some pressure off the back line.

Could be a long half!!

I don’t disagree, just that Mowbray still plays Smallwood ahead of them.

So he either thinks he better than those or he’s just playing him through blind loyalty.

Disagree on Palmer.

Agree on Conway point

Palmer is lazy and doesnt track his full back..

Armstrong was poor cos we didnt play to his strengths.
