Attendances

That's still half what it costs to go to Rovers on some of the cheapest match day tickets. That means you and someone else could go for the cost of one of you at Rovers. Given a choice, some people would choose the cinema as it's cheaper, warmer and nobody expects you to turn up every week if you don't want to. If you're spending £40 going to the cinema then you're not in the basic seats without food or drink, so you're not comparing like with like.

Basic seats are 13 pounds per person. Would you like a link? Missus or kids always want at Drink and something to eat at least. Pretty standard.

Quite. It’s a point lost on many.

Why should we remove the surcharge and why should we be looking to offer deals / local promotions? Because not doing is limiting our attendances.

Over 27,000 people came to watch Rovers v Oxford. We are averaging 12-13k at the moment. If we get half that addition it’s 20k-plus.

How many of people were glory chasing and only turn up cos we were going up?

The deals on offer are season tickets and half season tickets. Not single games even tho I and yourself suggested doing a special offer over christmas and we said kids tickets for a pound.

Those aren’t deals, they are just normal prices.

I can’t help but think you don’t actually want to get more people in the ground and think that if people were proper fans they would pay the asking price.

That’s all well and good but for Blackburners there is a price sensitivity. £10 is the bums on seats number - and it needs to be an interesting game.

If we go up to the PL and they charge £30 and more for walk-one we’ll still have swathes of empty seats. The way Waggott is going, I could well see a “fantastic offer” of £449 for a PL season ticket in the BBE. I presume that too would be a good deal...?

You talk about the cinema but after a quick check at Blackburn Vue cinema website to watch a film on Thursday is 13 pounds per ticket before buying food and drink. I would only go Cinema on Friday or Saturday for a romantic night with the missus. I wouldn't think of going midweek as it would be very inconvenience and unsuitable for me. It might suit you now that you are retired from work.  Thinking of the last time I went to the cinema think it cost me just over 40 pounds that was before we went to Nando at Blackburn for tea afterwards

£13 a ticket is why the cinema is empty most of the time.

But if you add in food costs at the cinema then you have to add in food and drink at Rovers. You're still not comparing the seat prices. If you take someone to Rovers you'll be paying approx £54 as opposed to £26 for 2 cinema tickets. Now obviously you yourself have a season ticket so it wouldn't cost you that but we're not talking about you personally. We're talking about a hypothetical couple of people, neither of whom is a ST holder. My kids wouldn't get anything to eat at the cinema btw. If they can't sit through a film without annoying everyone else with the smell of popcorn, the rustling of sweet wrappers or the slurping of drinks, I wouldn't take them.  Scrooge had nothing on me as a mum.

Sorry GB but I’m sick of websites selling our details to 300+ companies. Bloody GDPR rules have made using the Internet even worse. It hasn’t stopped companies trying to data mine it has just made them all try to force you to let them.

I’ll try and make this easy for you Boris;

I don’t think it’s as much of a problem as people are suggesting it is. One poster even changed his story from being put off by “ticketing policy” to geographical reasons after one response - and another I’m “trolling” apparently, is on his 3rd or 4th account of the year....

The reality is simple. Whilst this avoidable cost might be not helping, the only key hindrance to filling up Ewood is attraction of the tie.

You know, you can view casual fans/lapsed fans and their reasons in your own way without needing to be frustrated because I have my own opinion on them...

Make it as easy as you like, you still end up lying.

I did not "change my story". And am pretty sure that I am not the only person greatly offended that you seemingly can't be arsed to actually read people's considered posts.

He's making things up again. It's the only way he can keep trolling.

Not what chaddy said and look at the family ticket. Also worth noting student reductions and the fact that seniors start at 60 not 65 like at Rovers

Vue and Odeon also push a lot of special offers elsewhere. I get 6 free tickets per year from my bank account, and 2 for 1 tickets through Comparethemarket every Tuesday or Wednesday.

We go to the cinema about 10 times a year and pay half price at most.

well they aren't going to get the Rovers bug unless they go games.

does we play Sheffield Wednesday on the 1st of December and WBA on the 1st of January.

The only way the fans will feel the total commitment of the players and Mowbray is by being in the stadium and attending games surely?

If People are put off by 3 pounds charge then they aren't interest enough and want to watch the Rovers played live.

I have suggested a number of different tickets scheme the club could use so don't start using pointless line like you have.

surely the only way they are attached to the club is by attending games regarding of cost? attend a game, don't attach or still interest then don't come back after giving it a chance?

I see youve reverted back to the phrase "regardless of cost." If ever 3 words came across as ignorant and out of touch...

One thing you need to grasp is that we arent dealing with hard core fans. That said, the fact that they arent doesnt mean that you can turn your nose up at them. The club can either go, right people arent interested enough, what more can we do, or they can actively look at making it attractive as possible to get more people in.

The fact that the team is committed is not enough to provoke a surge in ticket sales and it is naive to suggest otherwise.

Well I'll tell you that family tickets at peak times for 2 adults and 2 kids are 31.50 to 33.50. Individual tickets are less than the 13 Chaddy insists they are even at peak times

Maybe check this before you come out with such comments

Very tight buying nothing.its at least 40 pounds a time cinema then a nando meal which is 40 to 50 pounds a time. Maybe not for you but most people buy a drink and food.

I aint scrooge at all ???

In that case you should really be comparing it with the Premier Suite at Ewood

Precisely. If you factor in food at Ewood and a meal afterwards as you have with the cinema you're coming up with a small fortune. Just because you choose to spend money on food and drink at the cinema, your choice entirely, it's not part of the basic cost

Why is it tight to buy nothing. We eat well and don't need to graze whilst watching a film. We go to watch the film and don't eat out afterwards because we don't eat in the evenings generally

So if you are busy people or maybe don't live together so only meet up a few times per week you can't go out on a Tuesday and do something nice because it isn't romantic ?

I'm surprised there's any establishments open on that night then ?
