Bigdoggsteel Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 I think Reed should be central instead of Smallwood and Palmer or Rothwell should be wide right. Not an easy call to drop Smallwood or Evans, but I think it's apparent that Reed can do what either of them do definsivley and is better on the ball than Smallwood. I think it's a very conservative team selection. Hopefully we get 3 points. 1 Quote

Ewood Ace Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Dissappointing to see Palmer dropped and Reed stuck out wide in order to accomodate Smallwood and Evans. I think Tony needs to make a tough decision and decide which of the two should partner Reed in his best and preferred position. And as Nyambe is on the bench he must be fit (and he played in the week) so why is our only right back not playing especially as Bennett has been poor there. 6 Quote
Ewood Ace Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Just now, K-Hod said: I think he always looks good when he plays does Palmer. He must be tearing his hair out... Has looked much better than Armstrong this season. Palmer has some skill and is a strong lad whereas Armstrong is one dimensional and eased of the ball to easily. Quote
Mercer Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Can't get to the match today as having to work - looking at that line-up, not sorry about it. Defensive and square pegs again! 1 Quote
tomphil Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) Going a bit more defensive was always on the cards when losing the first choice keeper and after all we know TMs preferred style is to stop the opposition and react to them rather than take it to them. To be fair he opens things up in games quite often but not sure he's blessed with enough options this time so expect the standard subs. 1 - 1 looking a good bet ! Husky Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 I was hoping we might get this game called off due to 'not having a team'. Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) Luongo booked for a foul on Dack after 4 mins, let's hope he gets another. Dingles losing at West Ham. 1-0. Edited November 3, 2018 by West Yorks Rover Quote
skous18 Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Qpr’s number 10 looks like a decent player Quote
Gogger Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Williams and Lenihans passing is just awfull. Combine that with a central midfield duo with zero creativity and you have recipe for some fantastic football.. Quote
AAK Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) Mulgrew injured again, thought he would be like this, this season, he's not good enough at this level becuase in terms of consistency, he cant cope with the tempo and ends up constantly injured, dont see him scoring any free kicks either this season because the keepers aren't shit. We shoud have brought in a proper centre half. He's a great leader and a good player, but doesn't play enough games when at this level it seems, shame really. Edited November 3, 2018 by AAK Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 no control at all! same old same old - Reed needs to be in the middle and get some excitement on that pitch mowbray!! Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 This is a tough watch - lack of quality from Rovers so far, pumping long balls to DG. i would put Palmer on for Smallwood, reed to the centre 1 Quote
Husky Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 At times Bell reminds me of our old beloved 'tank on roller-skates'. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted November 3, 2018 Backroom Posted November 3, 2018 Game crying out for a spark, get Palmer on for Smallwood and get Reed central Quote

He has just been unlucky. 2 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 3, 2018 Moderation Lead Posted November 3, 2018 Proper war of attrition this half from both sides. Lots of graft, but lacking in quality. Quote
JacknOry Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Finished the half the much better team in my opinion. Referee is a joke though. DG should have at least one of his big chances. We played some nice stuff at times. Quote
OJRovers Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 I'd get Rothwell on in midfield to give us some forward thinking Quote
