I looked at Transfmkt just after 8 am UK time so it was on there very early so either a mistake or a done deal for some time like Holgate to WBA.

Born in Garstang and on Rovers books till L/pool nicked him off us aged 11.(acc to Wiki) His career hasn't been great TBF. He's played 4 games for Cambridge on loan.

It may still be neglecting other areas which need improving. But I would be over the moon with a beast of a centre back and Reed permanent. It would give us more of a spine for next season.

Bennett is coming off a nasty injury and was good for us before then, so maybe a little harsh to be so critical of him. Especially when the likes of Nyambe, Bell and Williams have all recently contributed to conceding goals through bad positioning/defending. The main issue with Bennett is that he's increasingly a jack of all trades but master of none. He's probably looked his best for us in CM last year, but considering the standard of opposition it's difficult to judge whether he'd be effective there at this level. There's also a lot of competition in CM these days so unlikely Bennett would find himself in contention for that position.

Before he went to Sheffield United I said could do a lot worse than McGoldrick on a free from Ipswich. He is flying it now. Great partnership with Sharpe.. He could even play the Dack role. Very good footballer at this level and looks to have put his injuries behind him. 

We need a bit more experience this window

That isn't one i'd be wrist slashing over to be honest although I don't want to see anyone leave but a half decent manager if allowed should be able to unearth a full back for this level from somewhere.
