BRFCS sources understand I’m considering putting an offer in for some salt and pepper chips from cherry tree chippy

Think it is fair to say there will be no ins before 11pm tonight. Reading and listening through Mowbrays interviews. We were never 'in' for Assombalonga or Austin. These were offered to us at ridiculous prices which we have politely declined. Disappointing that we're not bringing anybody in but not the end if the world. Yes we're in a good position sitting a few points outside of the playoffs but is it worth smashing our wage/transfer bill on the off chance we will sneak in there? We have seen it happen to the like of Boro, Sheff Wed. Ridicilous wages and fees yet still in the division withe embargos etc...

I’d say it’s about 5/1

What about Cardiff? Saw them linked this morning. They need a striker and the awful news of Sala and the 15million fee he could be a loan they can afford.

Little bit more from Mowbray on the wages Rovers have been quoted this month.  "In January the numbers seem ridiculously high for the players we’ve asked about, particularly players in our division. I didn’t know they (those salary levels) existed I would have to say. “Yet, there they are, that’s what you’re quoted and you have to put in to some sort of realism that we’re miles short salary levels of what some clubs are paying their players."

Mowbray should keep quiet about that.

Well I woke up at 5am, full of hope. 12 hours later and all I wanna do is switch off the radio and go to sleep. However due to my love for the club I will keep plodding away, checking every source possible just for an inkling of an incoming. Thank God this only happens twice a year.

Close the thread, our window is over. Positives: The squad as it is has got us currently three points outside the playoffs, and we’ve added Chapman to the mix too. Negatives: If we were serious about the playoffs, adding a striker of quality would have been a real statement of intent. I think we were in dreamland thinking we’d have pulled Assombalonga off. (Thanks for that madon ;)

I want to say it's been a massive anti climax but looking at my sock drawer after the assombalonga deal seemed possible I would just be lying

Dan James in at Leeds. £1.5m loan deal rising to around £10m if promoted. Smart bit of business. James on the left and Jack Clarke on the right gives massive options. Rip some full backs another ring piece.

Talksport just reported Austin turned down a permanent move to a championship club as he didn’t want the step down.

So he’d have turned us down even if we could afford it. Hopefully this somehow makes people feel better.

The highest peak in Norway is Galdhøpiggen, 2469 meters above sea level.

Tinpot. We spend £6m on subs for the U23's.

If that's what it takes, I would.
