Please be very careful on this thread - BRFCS cannot afford a legal battle.

Assuming we are allowed to state facts without the site getting legal e-mails I'll bring up the previous story. That was related to a group named Kingsbridge Asset Management which included Colin Hendry as a client. Wondered why Hendry wasn't mentioned in this article which is related to a group named Formation Asset Management. FAM under it's previous name of Proactive Sports purchased Kingsbridge in 2003. Kingsbridge ceased trading in 2010 but FAM continued to operate.

So how many court cases are there? Just this one or others impending/ongoing as well? All pretty much adds up to the same accusation but what if there's different conclusions?

So much money swirling around and a lot of naive people.

The spivs must rub their hands, it’ll be like the Wild West.

Hey Battersby hasn't been found guilty of anything. That's what J*B is warning people about you're making him sound guilty. I couldn't even mention he was arrested without being censored last time this was brought up.

Is the Paul Stretford listed Wayne Rooney's Paul Stretford?

It's the same Paul Stretford who was Rooney's football agent yes. This claim however is by another Wayne Rooney of professional croquet fame.

In my haste to make a sarcastic joke responding to that rhetorical question should point out Rooney isn't listed as one of the claimants. Rooney was a client of Kingsbridge though. Stretford left Formation Group in 2009 after which he was involved in litigation with them. Kingsbridge, Formation Group, whatever it's not of enough importance to me to obsess over details on this issue.

Battersby isn't with Seneca anymore. At least while the legal issues are ongoing it's hardly a stretch to assume that's the reason he left. If he's found innocent perhaps he will be welcomed back. Who knows? Guess it would depend on just how unequivocal the verdict is.

I know you're just looking out for the board, and I'm not trying to be difficult, but can you give me one example of an internet messageboard being successfully sued for the views expressed by its posters?

I can give you numerous examples of legal letters sent to BRFCS?

No thanks, I'm more asking about successful attempts. An example of any messageboard in the UK or a country with a similar legal system will do.

If it's never happened successfully, I'm pretty sure it is just willy-waving in an effort to silence criticism through bullying, and has zero legal basis.

Ah yes, so he did.

I think his son's son got sued by a fan in the end. It's been pretty bad being a fan here since 2010, but It's a whole new level of awful at Blackpool.

I know, since I live there I've heard it straight from the fans on many an occasion. Just goes to show, there's always someone worse off. At least with us, the common consensus is that Venkys are incompetent and were duped by some snake oil salesmen. The damage done at Blackpool has frequently appeared to be malicious and show utter contempt for the fans.

Did JA not try at the same time as he gagged the LT?

Think that was just after the acting debut on the Sem Sports News fictional drama , an agents tale.

Wonder why SNN have not done a follow up , the first one was gripping.  Maybe add the touch of a exotic location like the HQ of some fictitious Brunei based business , make it a bit light hearted with a crescendo finale of tantric dancing while a row of chickens lay golden eggs..

Jezza and the chicken factory , got a Bafta written all over it.

Maybe, but we're not in the business of calling bluffs.

That had Jim 'Venkys we're coming for you' White as the director and the local onion supplier provided the props.

His performance was nominated for an Oscar but sadly failed (a bit like Myles really).

This could well have been started by a firm of ambulance chasers looking for a way forward with the PPI miss selling coming to an end next years. Probably nowhere near as many claimants, but mind boggling figures none the less.

Not sure if it's "ambulance chasers" or not. Some firms specialise in a variety of legal causes. I guess lawyers tend to be alerted when someone is arrested though. After all whatever the legal outcome is representation has to be paid for. I know enough about legalities to be under the impression this isn't one for the "no win no fee" crowd.
