RevidgeBlue Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Having dropped Evans, please please perform today Rovers. Lol. Particularly hope Palmer, Travis and Brereton have blinders. Quote

Roverthechimp Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Tony "groundhog day tombola" Mowbray confuses entire internet ??? Quote
Backroom Tom Posted December 29, 2018 Backroom Posted December 29, 2018 Well it’s created a buzz anyway! Quote
Exiled in Toronto Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Looking forward to see how these lads do, it’s most likely a preview of next season’s team. The A team got played off the park at Ewood against this lot so there’d have been no point repeating the exercise. 3-0 Rovers Quote

Mercer Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 If Rovers have a stormer and pull off unexpected win what will Mowbray do for WBA? Quote
bigbrandjohn Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Pretty exciting. We wanted a shake up. Here we go. A chance for plenty of folks to shine. Whether we get tonked or not it is a bold move. Cautious it is isn’t. Quote

den Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 That line up looks defensively challenged to me. 1 Quote

But this is the Championship. We don't seem ready for this at all so I'm going for an easy 2-0 to Rovers playing with 10 men for the last 30 minutes. Rodwell and Evans on the scoresheet. Balls Quote

Doug Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 No idea what to expect now!! Come on Rovers, let's put on a decent show. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted December 29, 2018 Backroom Posted December 29, 2018 Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Time for big Ben to show us what he's all about. 1 Quote
Husky Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 I think we'll score with that team. I'll change it to 3-1 to Sheffield. ? Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Jack O'Connell makes his 100 th consecutive league appearance for the Blades today, in an unchanged line-up. How the hell did we let him slip the net ? Just the sort of player we need now. 2 Quote
MarkBRFC71 Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 7 changes but not the one (dropping Lenihan for Downing) that we really needed .... 2 Quote
ChrisPriceBaldSpot Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 People moaning about TM making changes mystifies me. The same people that slate TM for sticking with the same players week in week out. 2-1 Rovers Brereton and Rothwell Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Well done Tony. Really happy with that line up. Needed shaking up, players needed a rest and a chance in equal measure. I feared a loss regardless , at least this shakes things up and sends out a message. Regardless of result Tony has done the right thing for me and I will give him no critism for his choices today. Bigdoggsteel Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 (edited) We have gone full Mowbray!!! I repeat, we have gone full Mowbray! I'm delighted with hat team win, lose or draw. Hopefully a win though. Edited December 29, 2018 by Bigdoggsteel Quote

On the flip side, Sheffield United are going to have to think about defending a little more now. Our goals from open play must be pretty low. Quote
Tom Stinny Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Hope the lads who are starting take their chance and do well. Wouldn't like the likes of Brereton, Travis, Rothwell to be the fall guys if this is a battering. Fair play to the manager though. He's tried something different and I can't argue with that. Only one I'm questioning slightly is Dack but let's show everyone we aren't as one man of a team as we appear. 2-1 Rovers, Brereton, Rodwell, Sharp Quote

In fairness we have all said we want Brereton to start in his natural position I think it's an exciting line up Dack could be lethal coming off the bench Quote

Don’t think he needs a rest physically but his form has dipped and it will do him good hopefully. An unlikely win would certainly give Mowbray sleepless nights though. Interesting that some people think he’s throwing the game. I don’t see it like that. Hopefully the travelling fans get to see an energetic display from our young charges. Average age of the starting XI today is 24. Average age of bench is 27. Yes, I would imagine that's how we will line up. Exciting and worth a go. Sheffield United bossed us at home with our go to 11. Perfect game to go for it with this line up Quote
