Really dissapointing that we’re so short at the back tonight as I really fancied us. Surely we can’t be letting Downing leave without a replacement coming in given Rodwell and Mulgrew always have at least one injury between them.

Smallwood and Bell are so poor. Their speed of thought is far too slow for our current division, let alone playing a team at a higher level. I really hope Mowbray is looking to upgrade on both in the very near future.

@DE. not a chance re: Smallwood. I knew he’d be straight back in. He’ll be a permanent fixture again now.
