Too many players out of position for my liking. Downing is a better centre back than Rodwell and Nyambe is a better full back than Bennett. That starting 11 and bench looks very light on defenders (do we really need 4 strikers on the bench)?  Just 12 Leagues goals from our starting 11, 10 for Dack, 2 for Reed and 0 for the other 9

Wonder what, if anything we can read into this? Mulgrew is clearly fitness, but does this reflect keeping some powder dry for the FA cup?

Not a fan of that side. There’s zero pace and the only creativity we have is Dack. Also would not be starting Bennett at RB - a little like Smallwood for me in that TM shoe-horns him in no matter what. Rodwell owes a performance at CB. And while he’s doing the business for the under 23s - bring Nuttal on for Graham, don’t start him at his expense.

Nowt against Nuttall as he’ll feel he’s earned a crack but we’ve just spent £7m on a striker, if our main one isn’t playing then surely you play that lad in his preferred role? 

I’m sure Mowbray wasn’t planning on spending £7m on someone who Nuttall would be in front of
