I’m sure Mowbray wasn’t planning on spending £7m on someone who Nuttall would be in front of I have a lot against it, he's shite. He scores at u23 level which is a poor standard of football. Them u23 sides get battered off bottom of league 2 opposition in that ldv cup or whatever it's called now. Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Horribly defensive side, 9 defensive players plus Dack and Nuttall. No pressure on Nuttall. Score a hat trick or you're out next game. In fact you're probably out even if you did score a hat trick. Quote
rovers11 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Hmm not convinced by that line up. Rodwell gets expose too easily as a defender. Quote

Tom Stinny Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 If we win fair enough but you only need to take Dack and Reed out of that team to genuinely question throwing the game. Terrible attitude towards travelling fans. Quote

A “not in the first team” penalty clause sounds like something you’d put in a loan agreement. Edit: I’m working in the premise that a last minute loan deal ended up being fairly standard T&Cs. Ossydave Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 What an odd line up, look forward to his explanation on this one 1 Quote

In fairness, given that mid-table is looking pretty nailed on, this is one of those occasions when I wouldn't mind increased priority on a cup-run. 2 Quote

I dont think TM will consider it a weak side as such, I think it's just his ultra cautious nature kicking in. Quote
Roboftherovers82 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 if the main man danny is not going to play why hasn’t Brereton been picked i am all for giving the young lads a chance but why have we spent 7m for him to sit on the bench i dnt get this at all 1 Quote
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Fine with the line up other than Nuttall. Not up to this level. I’m ready to be proven wrong. Quote
Roverthechimp Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Actually happy (ish) that Nuttall has, rightly imo, moved up the pecking order based on merit (even if u23) Also not the first time BB has been omitted when DG doesn't start Quote

West Yorks Rover Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 If Rodwell gets injured, (which is quite likely) who goes in at CB,... Graham ? Quote

Delighted Butterworth got on the bench. He would start over nuttall for me. I'm not sure how Bennett is getting in before nyambe at right back. I love benno but he isn't the better of the two in that position Edited January 12, 2019 by Oldgregg86 Quote
Admiral Nelsen Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Juries out on Nuttall for me. Last time out he seemed like he was physical with a knack for a goal, but severely lacking in the all round game needed to be a starter at this level. Had a huge amount to work on, even if he had some raw attributes to work with. Let's see if he's managed it. Quote
Ossydave Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Well he's not give much away in that interview apart from bemoaning injuries in defence and Graham being 33. Favouring nuttalls apparent mobility, we'll see Quote

I’d imagine Nyambe from the bench. Far from ideal. As an aside, he’s bemoaning injuries to CB but why not have Grayson or Platt on the bench instead of Butterworth when we already have Graham and Brereton as options? TM just said on SS that Downing couldn’t be considered (effectively). Must have agreed a deal despite travelling then. Edited January 12, 2019 by Gavlar Somerset Rover! Quote
