The manager must take a huge amount of blame for this defeat. His defensive set up in the first half was woeful, combined with Charlie having a mare, and the backs.....well, they just aren't.

The second half was much better, with a man down. It's shocking. Will he ever learn?

When will he play his best players and players in their best positions. Our own tinkleman

Alarm bells ringing over Mowbray.  We'll be relegation candidates next season if he's still with us. I hope he's gone as soon as possible

Just as well we didn’t go for the easy 3 points at reading and instead rested our big players for this huge performance today. Phew. What a manager. More and more are starting to see what iv been saying for a long time now.

Disappointing result and performance. Season well and truly over now.

I think it's been easy to forget this season because we were doing so well early on, but this is a side that primarily consists of players playing in the Championship for the 1st or 2nd season. Our only players with any Premier League experience are Graham, Bennett and Rodwell.

Compare that with Boro's team, which is filled with players that either have Premier League experience or are seasoned Championship players (like Assambalonga).

We've done okay this season, but this was never a promotion-winning team.

Does Mowbray just pick players at random? Is he trying to keep everyone happy?

I used to think he shoehorned players into positions to accommodate Dack, but it extends to the defence too.

A better second half but it shouldn’t mask the fact that we were so bad first half and Mowbray had to try and adapt his starting line up yet again.

We were slightly unlucky not to score our golden chance but on another day they score 5 or 6 it really wasn’t close at all and they just went through the motions second half

Got what we deserved after that frankly pitiful first half performance.

4 losses on the bounce and 9 in 16 now - considering that we won 4 on the bounce during that time that is hugely concerning. Worrying times.

Yep, that blip at the start of Jan masks what has otherwise been a shocking run of form since the start of November. If Tony genuinely thought we were fine to not strengthen in January then at the very least he needs someone above him taking those decisions out of his hands.

Williams is the worst footballer I've seen in a Rovers shirt in 55 years. He should never be seen again but as a Mowbray favourite he'll be in again as soon as the suspension ends.

Derrick fucking Williams everyone.

Not an overreaction to say this is the worst Rovers half in my living memory.

I'm not watching the game but I got a text from my son who is. He said exactly the same as you and he's been watching Rovers for 30 years.
